I just got the band removed 2 days ago and I am so happy..No longer feel like a prisoner. I am still in some pain, and some swelling..Hopefully it will go away soon. Lilly

Anyone please help, I have the new realized band..I got my lap band done in august'07..I am having too much complications..I have no fills by band is empty and I have been vommiting on Water for the past 2 days.. Lilly

Hello, I am thinking of going to Alexian brothers also..How much was your cost of surgery, and out of pocket cost after the insurance paid for their portion?? I just wanted to know if he is expensive but i live in this area.. lilly

Hello Dear.., I am lilly just moved to the chicago area from dallas..I have had the band over a year and have had nothing but problems with very little weight loss. Some side effects include pbing, vommiting, stomach pain, port pain, dehydration etc. I don't know how to convince the doctor to have it removed since it is rare and have insurance to cover it..I been having lots of other issues with the band and need to get it removed..Do you know how long it takes for the insurance to approve the removal if its due to medical complications? I have Illinois blue cross blue shield insurance. It had the original surgery done in dallas, TX..

Hello Chicago Bandstars, I live close to hofffman estate/Arlington heights area and wanted to contact a good doctor for lap band?? I need to have the lap band removed due to medical reasons.. I had the surgery done out of state but now live here and have Illinois blue cross blue shield insurance..Can anyone recomend a good doctor in this area?

hi luluc, great job with the weight loss..i got banded around the same time you did and i also weighed abt. the same before the band..Well, its going to a be a year now and i still have a long way to go (about 65 pounds to loose). I also want to get down to 125 lbs like you.What's your secret. I have to make this band work for me. I faulted when i got 2 unfill and gained 20 pounds in abt. 3 months. Well, i just got another fill and i am at 5.6cc. I still feel its a bit tight. Last year at 5.6 cc i was able to eat everything but not sure why so tight right now. Anyways, would to hear more from you abt. your expereince with weight loss

Hello, I got banded on 09/17 and got my 1st fill on 10/15 they put 1.5 cc, so altogether as of now i have 5.5 cc in my band. The strange thing is i am eating more than before the fill..Any reasons why that could be?? -
Howdy Everyone, Just got banded on 09/17 in richardson, TX by Dr. Frank Felts..Has anyone been had surgery with him by any chance?? Well, so far so good.. I can say the swelling is almost gone, just have gas issues and pain in my left shoulder probably gas up there... I had lost about 9 punds so far but than gained 2 pounds today..Please people share your experince with weight loss..
