  1. Not yet but I'm sure I will have a few of those as I have a group of coworkers I usually hang out with for lunch and drinks after work. Good for you on standing your ground. You know your goal and what you need to do. Good luck and keep up the good work. I'm with you every step of the way!!!!!! June 30 will be in here in no time.
  2. Hi, My surgery is scheduled for June 30th. I keep reading post where many people say they can't get all their Protein, Water or liquid in general. Why is that? Is it because it taste nasty, your throat hurts or your stomach is bloated and you just can't drink because you're full? I'm curious to know what are some of the reasons. Thank you in advance.

    Sorry TMI vaginal discharge

While some antibiotics can cause yeast infections, if it's not itching, most likely it isn't a yeast infection. Definitely make an appointment to see your GYN. Good luck.

    coffee

Oh my, I don't know how I'm going to do it. I wake up at 4:15 each day with only 4 hours of sleep. I NEED coffee, at least when I go to work. The days I don't wake up so early Sat - Tuesday I don't drink it but I am sure going to miss it for two months. I'm glad you posted this because I was wondering the same thing and was going to post something about coffee myself. Thanks and good luck.
  9. This forum and everything "sleeve"? I am such a couch potato but find myself constantly researching, thinking and chatting about my upcoming surgery. I literally can't get enough of watching Youtube, reading forums and blogs and listening (Dr. Alverez podcast {obesitychat} every Monday)to everyone and everything sleeve. I feel like I'm going crazy and it's making me even more anxious for my surgery on 6/30. I tell myself every night, I am going to watch t.v. and not think about it but it's like I can't help it. I reach for my Mac instead of my remote control. I find myself even logging in here while I'm at work. smh I hate to keep mentioning my surgery date with everything I post, does anyone know how I can add my surgery date to the information under my blank picture?
  10. @HalloweenBaby24. Great site! I don't know if you can see it but I "stole" a few things from you. Very interesting site. Thanks.
  11. Thanks @@HalloweenBaby24, I will do that. I was just browsing the site and saw something interesting I want to share with everyone. Stay tuned!!! I will definitely check out your Pintrest page.
  12. Thanks HalloweenBaby24, I visited the site and signed up and bookmarked the page. Great, now I'll never get to watch t.v. lmbo Thanks for your response.
  13. I tried your suggestion but was taken to my surgery page where I had entered all the information on the first day I signed on. Oh well, I will figure it out one day. Thanks again.
  14. lol ziggybang or should I say Addict #2? lol Thanks for the information. I will try it. Most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS on your 71 lb. weight loss in just 5 months. Wow. You really inspire me as I thought people who were 250+ pounds would lose so much so quickly. I am a few pounds more than your starting weight. How the heck did you manage to loss so much so quickly? I thought people under 250 would lose but lose but nowhere near that quick. There is hope for me yet!!! You go girlllll!!!
  15. I've heard that before, but what does "at a time" mean? What if I take 2 hours to drink a 40g protein shake? What's the absorption timeline? Denise, yes, it was so great to not be hungry and to get full on so little. Preop i almost never got full. I do get hungry now, but a very small amount of dense protein still fills me up quickly. Other "soft" post op staples like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. slide through my sleeve pretty quick, leaving me hungry again after a short time. Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention, as for taste, everything seemed way too sweet to me immediately postop. I had to dilute everything I drank....vitamin Water, protein shakes, juice, G2, etc. Even tomato soup was too sweet until I added puréed Italian sausage to it. weird. Kindle you have me even more excited than I thought I was. lmbo at the "I almost never got full". That is me for sure. Don't let the food taste good, I feel like I can eat for hours on end. You make hungry sound good with the outcome being "but a small amount of dense protein still feels me up quickly". I can't even begin to imagine. I won't believe it could happen to me until.....it happens to me. lol Did you ever think/believe you would eat so little and be satisfied? Thanks for all the information. You have given me more hope.
  16. Kindle, I'm not sure you're going to see this without me quoting you but oh my goodness. Congratulations on your 78lb. weight loss in just 5 months. You go girllllll! I hope I do at least half as good as you.
  17. Awww Pamela69. If you don't mind me asking, why are you emotional? Are you possibly having second thoughts? I am excited and anxious. I so want to be on the "other side" like yesterday.
  18. joatsaint, lmbooooo franensleeve. I get it, stitched tummy. Too funny. I wonder what causes some people to eat very little (which I am so hoping for) and some have no problem eating. I hope I feel restricted the way you were. I am looking forward to "not being hungry". Thanks for your response.
  19. Oh my Kindle. I absolutely love the sound of being "too full". I can't wait to have that restriction, even if temporary. Some people said they didn't feel hungry for up to a year. I can't imagine. I don't like to feel hungry so this would help me a lot. Thanks for the post. I hope I have the full feeling. Thanks for your input.

    African American Sleevers

Hi Msfitn2014, I wish I would have read this sooner. I forgot all about Puritan Pride. Stupid me went to GNC and purchased Biotin 6000mg (highest dose they had) 150 ct. for $25.00. smh and I purchased two bottles (buy one and get one free) of a liquid multivitamin for $40.00. I am so kicking myself in the butt. Thanks so much for sharing the information. I will use Puritan Pride in the future. Take care. Hi msfitn2014, I just read your post. What's msm? Thanks in advance. MSM pills are joint support pills, but if you google them they are also used for hair thinning and host of other great things for your body. You can get them from Walgreens or CVS. I order my biotin and msm pills from puritanpride.com with free shipping

    Surgery - June 30

Hello, How is my June 30th sleevers doing this evening? Has anyone decided on the brand of Meal Replacements and Protein shakes they're going to purchase? I was on the unjury, Bariatric Advantage and my surgeon's website last night trying to compare prices and nutrition labels.

    cheating on pre-op liquid diet

readyanxsscared, you are not the first one, nor will you be the last. I also believe you have enough time to get back on track. The two week liquid diet is really hard. I haven't done it yet but I can see myself falling off. I am going to try really hard to stay on track, but guess what? I'm not going to beat myself up if I fall a little. The apple and watermelon are better choices if you have to have something solid. Good luck and just know, this too shall past. You will be on the other side in no time.
