I am totally shocked that you cannot switch. I would call the practice manager. If you need my help let me know. I have been a patient for over 10 years. When I have a complaint I really voice my opinion. The office help has over the years gotten better but still unsavory at times. I have seen dr Kane and dr guske in moments of being overfilled and desperate for relief. Both are far from dr Rantis. If you are totally against suburban surgical then I recommend dr vafa shayani. Oakbrook 630.990.2440 he has additional locations. I saw him last year for second opinion regarding having my band removed and replaced. He's brutally honest. He kept telling me I was eating too much lol! I would go back in a heart beat if dr Rantis is not available. I have an email ready for dr Rantis as I am unhappy with one of the nurses I has the unfortunate luck of the draw to see on Thursday. I can tell you I have been through the ringer in the past 12 months and now feel I should share my experience to make sure no one has to feel as sick as I was or intimidated to ask questions. If you want private message me.

I am going to move ahead and get the info needed to start my own meetings. It seems as though moving about the suburbs would be advantageous. Maybe one meeting in glen Ellyn, one in geneva, one in Oakbrook etc so we can all benefit. I am willing to go the extra to get info and perhaps add value for us all.

    am i bulimic

I experienced the same symptoms for over two years thinking I was eating too fast, too much and around my band. I was happy about the results weighing in at 115 lbs. When I would see my Surgeon I would have a fill and/or reduction due to my esophogus being dilated. This went on for month and then noticed I was starting to gain weight. My lap band malfunctioned and I had to have it removed and replaced. I am 3 months post op and feel much better. I reccomend speaking to your doctor and having some of the Fluid removed just to give yourself a break and most of all get healthy. If you are not taking suppliments I strongly reccomend you do so. Good Luck.
