In in Fair Lawn , you?

In May i will be 2 years out! I lost 90 pounds as of last February (2015) and was the same weight for about 6-7 months although i went down one pants size due to tightening i suppose. I have worked out since 3 weeks post op and never looked back, i am a workout junkie. As far as food i suppose i could do better but i stay within the calorie limits ive set on MFP. I also have a fitbit that syncs my exercise with it. I recently started gaining weight and cut my calorie limit down and upped my exercise . So for example, i started doing spin 3x a week and on those days my usual kickboxing that i do 5 days a week as well. Plus i walk a tonnnn! I know the rules of eating protein etc. i stepped on the scale this morning and i gained 4 pounds this week wtfffff it was so discouraging!!! I see alot of ppl this far out eat 1000 cals a day but i can eat 1600-1900 bc i work out so much and i feel hungry but assuming everything is ok with the sleeve bc i dont need much. An egg still does the trick to hold me over for a couple of hours.... Please helps guys and gals, in freaking out over here:)

I really dont know my protein goal, unfortunately i dont have insurance anymore so i never actually Knew what my Protein goal daily should be. In MFP app tho i have targeted protein as my highest need , and honestly ive been successful thus far so i kind of feel like i know if im getting enough. Any idea how many grams a day i should be eating? Is that a general Number or is it different for everyone?? As far as numbers on the scale, yes I have heard that muscle weighs more… But I can't imagine that I've put on 14 pounds of muscle, my clothes fit basically the same, but I am not anywhere near my goal, i have about 20-30 more id like to lose and while I am in it for the long-haul, seeing the numbers go up is very discouraging -
Bergen County here! 1 1/2 years out and this weather (staying indoors more) has made me more head hungry. Its been such a battle! It seems like the past 6 months ive fluctuated up and down the same 6-8 pounds. I work out 6 days a week. Soooo frustrating!! I know i need a change but not sure what exactly, any suggestions?!

And I definitely will try to do my protein and if I want the carb later I will have a bite that's a great idea -

Lipstick lady omg i adore u! This suggestion just made me get up and make deviled eggs, it's something I love and never thought to make and it's something great to always have on hand! As I bought the croissant this morning I thought to myself if I had something else I probably wouldn't take it but if I don't eat this I will be hungry, I hate to cook so for me this is a new journey and I'm slowly starting to make easy stuff but. Mostly purchase, in general I am not big on meats, not that big on fish either I always do carbs I love vegetables but I know that vegetables in the long run don't fill me up. So will have to try to come up with simple meal ideas, love cheese too. So is deviled egg considered something i can eat freely? -

Thanks guys! I completely understand that this is all my fault and maybe I am wrong for looking for the "misery loves company "route, but sometimes when I'm having a down moment and I don't want to feel like a complete failure I just need a reminder that I'm human not an excuse to make it okay. We are all on the same journey and some of us have good days and bad days and Im sure that there are people that never slip up, but I can't imagine that that's the majority? -
Lalise, my hair loss began about 2 weeks ago and i was sleeved same date as u. the good news is that it doesnt happen for everyone so hopefully you will be lucky and have no hair loss!

Please tell me this is normal

i should also mention that when i took the second blood it was my TOM, a medical friend of mine seems to think this would also make a difference. -
I am almost 4 months post op, i have been feeling wonderful , exercising a lot, eating everything according to plan, and then boom one day a few weeks ago my hair starts falling out, which i was expecting and i know is normal, i saw the PA at my drs office she says don't worry it will stop soon and new hair will grow in, and then following that ive been feeling very tired and my sleep has been almost non existent, i am tired during the day and sleepless at night. during my workouts i have no energy, i work at a medical office so i decided to re run my blood tests that i did before my 3 month check up just 2 weeks ago and my thyroid that ive neverrr had issues with and was perfect 3 weeks ago is all out of wack. is this common after surgery? since it all hit at once i wonder if the thyroid has to do with the hair loss, tiredness etc....

thanks! yes it seems we're in different boats, ive never had this issue before and seeing that it started almost exact same time as hair loss and tiredness i wonder if its related. good luck to u! -
Heyyy i wonder if any of you have this same issue i do, i have days where I don't want to eat anything and have to force myself, and then I have days where I want to eat a lot, by a lot I mean I feel like it's a lot for the sleeve, I don't get sick but the amount that I could eat makes me wonder if it's normal that I'm eating it, but it is true hunger it's not boredom eating. I walk 8-10 miles a day and kickbox 3-4 times a week, so I wonder if it's my body being hungry from all the working out, but then I think my stomach should still only be able to hold a certain capacity no matter how much I work out... Im just nervous about stretching my sleeve more than anything... Any advice is appreciated???? thank u! Btw im down 57 lbs if that matters

Abigail13 replied to Rebellious Butterfly's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
3 months out and 57 lbs down!! I wonder if its just me at this point, but i have days where i have barely any desire to ear and days i feel hungry way more than i should with the sleeve... Anyone else? Afraid to stretch but its definite hunger btw i should add i walk at least 8-10 miles a day and kick box 3-4 times a week .... -
May 15 here, down 49lbs! Feeling great, i dont weigh my food i just listen to my Body, I do notice some days I don't want to eat at all, and some days I feel like I eat a lot although it's probably a lot in comparison to what I'm becoming accustomed to eating. Def still training myself to eat slower and realize when I'm full. I gave joined a kickboxing gym and am obsessed with my Fitbit ( join me ,Natrox) walk miles and miles a day! Best decision ever. Hows everyone else?

Hi I'm one month out today, and for the most part has been a really good journey! BUT today has been a bad day I saw my surgeon yesterday and he finally cleared me for solids, I wasn't hungry in the morning but in the afternoon I decided to have a salad with some goat cheese, I felt Full right away and then about two hours later got this acidy feeling Of hunger. I thought I wasn't supposed to feel hunger, and I broke out into a cold sweat, and just generally didn't feel good. I just wanted a cookie, and after I had it I felt better, this is so strange because I've been totally fine and haven't really felt hunger. Has. Anyone experienced this? My fear is that ill be hungry on solids which from what i thought shouldnt happen? I thought salad was a healthy choice...

I am six weeks out and was on ortho tri cyclin lo for about 10 yrs then had my daughter and right after decided for surgery, i have PCOS. I have read some horror stories about gaining all the weight back plus more after going on birth control, but I really feel like I need it not for birth-control reasons but for hormonal reasons, I am feeling very edgy . My husband is begging me to go back on it, because he says I'm unbearable , and I know in the back of my mind that I see it also. During the years that I took it I was successful with weight watchers etc so i dont feel like i gain weight from them but am afraid to if i start now. Any experiences u can share with me??

Marfar congrats on the grandbaby!! , but it hasnt stopped you from losing thus far right? Im newly sleeved so wouldn't want to stop the majority of weight loss...did u continue right after surgery?
