I'm almost 6 weeks out and I have been soooo constipated that I couldn't stand it. I had cramping and the dry heaves so bad. I took ex-lax yesterday and finally can say "I'm gonna live" Anybody else have this problem? I used to take magneasium before surgery when I needed "help" Last night I had the chills so bad and cramping..I know TMI but I can't be alone in this. Now I'm afraid to eat or get in the situation again.

How many days post op before swimming again?
kaykayg replied to tgleicher's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dipped in the pool around 8 days out but just started swimming again this week. Surgery 8/26 RnY. I also fit in a smaller suit size since I've lost 35+ lbs. in these last 6 weeks. -

OMG! Me too. I used to love the smell of campfires before surgery. Now 4 weeks later-ugh! And smells around the house. yuk! Everything makes me nausous that didn't before. So we will be a success? Good to know. :) -
Had surgery 8/26 and flew on 9/06. No problems in flight (very short flight) Now the hike thru airport was an ordeal but I stopped frequently to rest. Was really winded but was looking forward to relaxing at resort.

I'm almost 4 weeks out and I get nauseous from smells, moving around, heat, humidity, hot flashes, and everything in between. I try to take my nauseous pill first thing in the morning. Brushing my teeth makes me dry heave. It's really upsetting because I never had morning sickness with my 2 kids(28yrs. old and 26yrs old) Bummer! Also my scalp itches and has little sores. anyone else have this problem?

Finding the Right Sugar-Free Popsicles
kaykayg replied to BaileyBariatrics's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
Mixx up some Crystal lite and pore in dixie cups and put in the freezer. You can put stick in and secure with tape or just get them "slushy" for treat anytime. I freeze broth and other liquids in ice cube trays and pop them out when needed. Just let everyone else in household know what you've got there. haha
