    Phantom Pain

You know, a lot of people don't feel a thing! I had a rough way to go also. I know it hurts to move, but the more you move, the better it is... =/

    Phantom Pain

I don't think that is what it was from. I think it is where they have the scope and tools inside of you and moving them al around, and where they have to sew you back up. The dr told me that that area is where they had to cut the deepest as well as having to staple or sew things.

    Phantom Pain

This happened to me as well. It was around my lower left incision (The largest one) but not really at the incision. It felt like my body was being ripped apart. The pain faded away in a few weeks. It went from the ripping to more of a burning, then to none.

    starbucks question

I tried a glass of decaf iced coffee at sb yesterday and it was so bad. I used to go there every day and have a mocha. I am not sure if I just don't have the taste for it anymore or if the new barista didn't know what she was doing or what but it tasted like ass.
  5. I would like to thank all of you who have lent me your thoughts and prayers. On Monday I had an Upper Endoscopy and they did find a stricture and dilated. As of Wednesday this week I have started feeling better. I do still have the chronic nausea but it is not as severe by all means. Instead of a dead dog I feel human again. I have been getting out and able to move around since I have felt better. They may still have to go back in one or two more times and I am ok with that. I will say that I was very upset when I came out and they told me I had a stricture. Not because I had a stricture, but because I kept telling them I had a stricture and they wouldn't listen to me and just do the endoscopy. Instead I had to keep being admitted to the hospital. I did see my surgeon yesterday, who is the Medical Director of the practice and voiced this with him. I am at a stand still with my weight loss and I am fine with that. It is much more important for me to be healthy and feeling better. I could not eat and could barely drink and things were very bad for me. The weight loss will come. Today I am wearing a dress I have not been able to wear in 2 years, so that is neat. I don't even like dresses but I like this dress today! =) Thank you again everyone. I just wanted to post about something good for once!
  6. Yep. I am feeling so much better but I am still with the nausea, so hopefully that will go away soon. Thank you!
  7. Aww, Thank you. I am at home now. I had the endoscopy done outpatient on Monday..

    Gained 1 pound

Yep. Happens to me all the time but no biggie. It just goes back on down!
  11. I am a Christian, and I have done it without the surgery before. I did not lose the weight with faith, though. I lost it with diet and exercise. Unfortunately I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and just could not do it that way again. I have had complications due to the surgery, so I was questioning my decision. I even felt guilty, like the Lord made me in His own image and I went and wrecked that. I really had to just get past that way of thinking. It was not doing anything for me. Have you talked to your pastor?
  12. I think it does have a lot to do with your Protein intake and from what I have read, it occurs between 3 and 6 months post surgery. I would take the Biotin as others have said. I have to take a weekly dose of chemotherapy and I lose a bit of hair and it seems to help.
  13. I had mine in July at Fair Oaks through Bluepoint with Dr. Halmi...
  14. I have been feeling better as the days go by since my endoscopy. I go to see my surgeon this afternoon...
  15. I agree! Because fat people aren't pretty enough to wear their clothes. Once I lose my weight, I still won't go there!

    Green tea does have caffeine.
  17. I get mine at Charming Charlies and you can probably find them at Claires or maybe even Wal Mart. I also saw them on Amazon.com. I have to use them but they come off so easily,
  18. I am with everyone else. You aren't getting enough calories. But can I say this? What a great job you are doing with and without the surgery! You have lost a whole person in 6 months!!! Keep up the great work!

  21. You tell your fiance you have to go on another cruise to replace your fat pictures with skinny ones.
  22. You know, I like my surgeons, I really do. I just want them to listen to me and understand that I know what is going on in my own body. I have to have some bloodwork done tomorrow re the pancreatitis. Will see what happens. You know, I also have epilepsy and I have been dealing with my neurologists office today. Great dr, awful staff. I was out of medication and I have to take a different form of the same medication due to this stricture. I called at 9 am this morning and talked with my pharmacist twice. No medicine. So I get a hold of the neurologists office and the girl tells me there are no nurses left, I am going to have to wait until tomorrow. I said there are no drs left? My dr was still there but with his last patient. She says I need to call tomorrow or she will put me through the patient care line to leave another message for tomorrow. I was already pissed over this stricture and I told that girl I didn't care if she had to park her ass outside of that patients door, that medicine would be filled TODAY. And it was. I do like my surgeons, I just think they think they are always right, they are the drs... but I knowbest about my own body, and they need to listen to that and understand. I hope your husband does ok. I have heard that pancreatitis can be chronic. I sure hope that is not the case for either of us...
  23. My nausea since surgery has been horrible. I have had it since day one, surgery on 7-16. I am not sure if I have had one day without it and it is pretty severe. Is there any thing that works for you if you have or are experiencing nausea?
