I am so frustrated this morning. I am finally in the green zone over the past three weeks for the most part. I've had trouble eating but that was mostly swelling I assume at this point since I am able to get fish down. No chicken though. One week ago I was down 5 pounds and this morning now that I have eaten three or four legit meals I am up three.I haven't been able to work out at all really this past three weeks because I have been pretty weak from not being able to eat.I just don't understand what's going to take for me to see some results. I haven't even lost 20 pounds since May. I know everybody is different and the Green zone is different for everyone to but I'm pretty discouraged at this point and not really sure how I feel.like I want this thing to work and everyone around me is very supportive my boyfriend he thinks that I don't want this. Just because I don't work out regularly. I don't feel comfortable working out fully right now because I want to lose some more weight. I'm just so frustrated.obviously words of encouragement are great and all but I just don't get how I never lose weight. I.e. good I drink tons of water I don't drink liquid calories I don't even eat red meat. I'm basically down to fish as my protein. I don't eat bread I sometimes have mashed potatoes or baked potato. I am by no means perfect when it comes to eating but I know that I am trying and I do want this to work. I am counting my calories and I'm generally around 1000 a day. I should be losing weight. Right?

So I had surgery on May 15, 2014. I'm at about 7.0 ml in my band. I was at 6.0 and was barely feeling restriction. Then two weeks ago I got my fill for the month putting me at 7.0 and after the initial first few days of liquids to soft to normal I never got to normal. I have literally only been able to eat yogurt, liquids, ice cream, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes...hopefully you get the picture. Yesterday I tried some chicken nuggets. Really really real chewed them up and it was pretty difficult. Even these mushy foods can be hard to have sometimes. I have thrown up a lot just figuring out what I can and cannot eat. Don't get me wrong I'm glad to FINALLY be feeling restriction bc up till now it was like I didn't even have the band. When I eat now I feel the food. Am I feeling it when it goes from my throat to my stomach/pouch or from in the pouch thru the band to the rest of my stomach. It is so uncomfortable. Does this mean I am in my green zone. I'm just confused by what I am feeling. After literally two weeks shouldn't I be able to eat more solid food. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!!

What does that feel like to have it slip or expand? I have had 2 fills totaling 4 ml. My first fill I had 2.5 ml and I felt zero restriction and my second was 1.5 ml about 10 days ago an at first I felt some restriction and now none. What dos that mean? I am def able to eat more than I should. Help?

Posting this for my boyfriend who had the lap band as well. He has done extreme well and is considered a rare case of perfect lap band loss. In 8 months he lost 100+lbs. he has been in the green zone since February. But lately all of a sudden he can't keep anything down. How can this be? Any idea what's going on?

Everyone, I feel like the original poster above. I am at six weeks out of surgery tomorrow and I am getting my first fill tomorrow. I am nervous. I have struggled with my appetite being basically normal, my port feeling weird when I sleep, cravings from what I used to eat, struggling in general and just feeling like I'm always eating too much and the hunger takes over my brain and before I know it I've eaten a ten piece mcdonalds nuggets. Am I horrible??? For about two weeks I've really felt like I don't even have a band. A typical day for me: breakfast the 3 mini chicks at chick fil a with the hashbrowns and then for lunch I might have like 4 slices of turkey from the public deli, sliced very thin and a piece of cheese and maybe at most a half of a cup of mashed potatoes, then for dinner I might have 6 fish sticks and 1/2 a cup of green beans and maybe a mitts applesauce. Am I doing things all wrong!?!?!? I'm seriously worried about my appointment tomorrow. Help!!! -
Can't believe I am writing this but yes I haven't pooped in like 5 days. Maybe more. It wasn't till yesterday when I realized I hadn't really gone and to be honest the numbers on the scale were going up!!! I follow everything to a tee!!! I'm a lap ban angel. Anyways this is totally embarrassing and gross to talk about but I am pretty uncomfortable. I have been taking a powder laxitative since last night so only a little came out. Gosh so gross to admit. But I'm at a point where I need help. I don't want to get impacted...I think that's what happens.... I'm only 25 and to be honest I don't think over ever been constipated before.

Thanks again everyone. I talked to the nurse at my band doctors office. She said to try adding some benefiber to my diet. Any comments? Also I dropped one lb my third week. Does that sound normal. I def have a bigger appetite now but I am still eating small and soft ish. Where should I be on the start of my 4th week.

Thanks everyone. I've started to clear out some... I didn't take any pain meds never needed any. #thankful I still feel clogged tho. I will be calling on Monday. I haven't lost any weight in my third week yet I'm barely eating anything compared to what I ate before the band was terrible.

I'm afraid to take my meds. I HATE taking them all crushed up. Can I take them just broken in half. I need to take anxiety meds and allergy meds they are just normal tablets. None are capsules. So my question is do I have to crush them?

Feel like I can feel my band at night lately. Like not the port but the band. Right below my sternum... There is a sharp pain at night. I sleep a little twisted do you think that could do it?

So it has been 17 days since I got lap band surgery. I'm doing great. I got in a fight with my boyfriend tonight and my stress eating came out. I ate a little over a cup of mashed potatoes and I feel weird now. I know I ate them too fast. Sorta felt like I had to throw up but couldn't. What did I just do???
-
Thanks for responding. I guess I just get worried that I'm going to mess everything up. Is one time going to hurt me?

Hi everyone. I got my surgery Thursday and ALL day I have felt weird. I am drinking and not throwing up so nothing is stuck but it feels like something is stuck.
-
Thank y'all for the advice. I'm just really uncomfortable and I feel like I can feel the band... Is that even possible?

I had 1/4 cup of instant mashed potatoes last night and my parents made me swear I would wait until next week. Other than that just protein shakes and juices and broths. I felt fine after I ate them tho.
