Sometimes I feel like I need to pinch myself! My surgery date has come and gone and I am doing fantastic! First week and half was a little rough...weekness was my major complaint other than abdominal pain at surgical sites. I have been on a 13 day stall, but as of yesterday that dang scale finally budged and I lost 1 more pound for a total of 37 lost . I am able to eat many different things and I have never vomitted at all. This upcoming week is the week I am slowly supposed to start adding in a regular diet. I hope you are all doing well!

I just got back from my pre-op appointment too! They took blood, did an EKG, chest x-ray and urine. Met with my Dr. to ask any questions and sign a bunch of papers. I am so excited and ready for the procedure to be over and start healing! Good luck to everyone...will be thinking about y'all!

@@Pugmadkate I live in Fort Worth and I am having my surgery done in Decatur. It's only about 25 minutes from my house. That is so awesome that your mother is going to help during your recovery! @mcherder...what pre-op diet are you on? Full liquids or low calorie? I am on high Protein low carb this week and change to full liquid next week. Interesting how doctors are so different on what they require. Hope everyone is doing well and not getting to nervous! I am ready for this!!

I started high protein/low carb this week. Next week is all liquid. @@Pugmadkate, if I may ask, where are you having your surgery?

My surgery date is June 17th with Dr Stowers in Decatur, Texas. Would love to hear from anyone around that date that is using him also. @@momofthree123 I have twin identical boys.

I am scheduled for June 17th too!! I am so excited but also very nervous. I just found this forum and starting to look around and read to stay on top of my fears that I know will be growing as the date gets closer!
