I also have Hypothyroidism, I am 3 months out and lost 56 pounds, I just recently had blood drown 2 wks ago, my meds had to be adjusted to a lower dosage again.. I was shocked.. So I went from 275mg to 250mg and now 200mg... This surgery has really helped me with my thyroid. Hope this info helps..

I'm also 3months as of the 24th and I am really having a hard time eating.. There are days i can tolerate chicken then they next time I vomit.. It gets frustrating sometimes.. I've lost 53 pounds, but I think it's because I throw up a lot.. I have an appt on 1/8 maybe the doctor can help me figure this out..

I go to http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ for all my recipes, everything she cooks is high in protein.. She stays away from Rice, Potatoes, and breads and sugar.. You must check out her recipes she's has been around since 2006.. Eggface is amazing.. And till this day she has maintained her weight.. She is such an inspiration..

I was sleeved on 09/24/14.. Still trying to get my fluids and protein in.. I saw my Primary Doctor to have blood work done for my thyroid. Hoping my numbers are a bit lower than before.. Well he weighed me, and I now weigh 194.. I'm so excited, but I can honestly say that I miss food, cooking daily is such a challenge. My appointment with my surgeon is on 11/11, I'm hoping he says that I can finally eat something that is not liquid. I wish all the September sleevers the best on this new journey we are on.. The Dr. Ordered the following test. Endoscopy , Pulmonary, Psychiatrist, Bloodwork, Chest X-ray and 3 Weight Loss Meetings, Nutritionist. And my Pre-op Diet was just for 3 days before my surgery date. I was sleeved on 9/24. My post-op appt was 10/2.. I loss 20 pounds so far.my weight b4 surgery was 220 on 10/02 i weight 200. Next appt 11/4.. I don't weight myself. I prefer the Dr. Weighing me.. It hasn't been easy, had a horrible time with getting water and protein in.. But I'm slowly getting there. I have no regrets..

I also have thyroid, I take synthroid 250mg, I was diagnosed 2005.. My Surgeon was aware of my thyroid condition, but he said it wouldn't interfere with my surgery . I was sleeved on 9/24 and I just did my blood work this pass Monday, So I'm very curious how my numbers look. I guess every surgeon is different , my doctor of 10 yrs also stated my thyroid condition would not prevent me from having surgery, he also gave the clearance for me to be sleeved.

Congrads, on the 1st wk.. I also was sleeved the same day as you, and I am having great difficulty with meeting goals of protein and water.. I really thought the gurgling noises would have passed but they haven't .. I had 1/4 of cup of miso soup.. And that was amazing and that was at 4:30 pm yesterday and I felt to satisfied. So I thought maybe on Friday I will treat myself to another 1/4 cup of miso soup.

I was sleeved on 9/24, and I can't even drink 64 or 32 oz.. My stomach makes so much noise when I sip on my liquids.. I even vomited.. I'm really having a hard time with getting the requirements.. I'm walking around a bit but when I get in bed I'm out like a light.. My dr. Completed my disability forms. So I'm scheduled for work on 11/10 .. He gave me great mini vacation.. I'm just focus on the clear liquid, I'm no where near ready for the next stage.

I took Prilosec today for the gas, it was the best thing my Dr. Told me to take. I was able to take sips, of water, and isopure.. I space it out.. I can really feel the fullness.. I walked today outside my house came back exhausted, and took a nap.. And my fever is gone and I didn't vomit today, slowly but surely.. I pray everyone else is ok.

Hello To All.. Unfortunately I'm not having an easy time, my lungs are killing me, the tube they use for your airways gave them difficulty, the said it's very narrow.. They put me on clear liquids and I have been drinking every 15 to min of 1 table spoon.. It's hard for me.. I've vomited already.. I'm truly struggling with meeting the 64 oz.. I don't know how anyone else is but for me. I did walk.. But I have no energy.. My incision that were done are only 4 instead of 6.

Good Luck to all, My surgery is today as well.. I'm scheduled to be at the hospital at 5:30am.. Haven't been able to sleep.. I'm so nervous.. My stomach is growling from hunger and my nerves.. :,(

Surgery is scheduled 9/24... I received a letter from my insurance of congratulations and approval wishing me a new healthy lifestyle.. I can't believe this is really happening.. My Dr.. Only required a 3 day liquid diet.. I really enjoyed my last meal. Reality is really kicking in, I AM SO NERVOUS..

Hello to all, My Surgery is scheduled for 9/24.. My appt with surgeon is 9/11 to go over the procedure and to put me on a liquid diet.. This should be interesting ???? Good Luck To All
