Oh my gosh, I only have 10 hours until I have to be at the hospital - I just wish it was over with now!!!! I am SOOOO nervous. Just hope I actually get some sleep tonight. See you all on the banded side - YIPPEE!!!

Thanks heaps guys for your support. I am finding it a little difficult to wind down at the moment - am feeling quite anxious now - not sure how much sleep I will get tonight - hopefully a little. Will let you all know how I go - YAY!!!

I am being banded tomorrow (3rd). I am so excited, it's like waiting for Father Christmas to come. Good luck for the 10th, I will keep you posted how it all went!!

Hey Karen, I am from Perth and I just read your first couple of entries and spun out a little. It was like my own story. I am 36, I also have three girls 8,6 & 3 and I am 5ft 4. I am being banded on October 3rd and am feeling all the emotions that you mentioned. I know I am doing the right thing and just wish the 3rd was here NOW. But then all of a sudden some doubt creeps into my mind and I think OH MY GOSH WHAT AM I DOING. But thanks to my very supportive husband - who reminds me it's the best thing I could be doing for myself and it's only my nerves getting the best of me. I am so glad to have found this website - I am kind of addicted to it at the moment - when I get a little nervy I need to come and get my band fix and see all the positive things that I will get from doing this. I love my new bandfamily - IT'S GREAT!!!!!!

Hi Kara, Welcome - I am a newie at this as well. I only discovered the site about 2 weeks ago. Have you been banded yet? I am being banded in 3 days and am getting really excited. There is so much positive feedback from this site - it's great!!

Hi Hilary, I'm from Perth and am being banded on Tuesday 3rd October (only 3 sleeps to go!!). I am really nervous and excited. I am so glad to have found this website. Everyone is so encouraging, and I have learned so much in the last couple of weeks. Good luck to you and I will keep you posted how my surgery goes.

Hi Jude, I am actually in Perth, great to hear there are other Aussies out there using this great website. My BMI is on the lower end of the scale for those patients my Dr operates on. The reason he gave me was, that he thought my liver would not be excessively fatty due to the lower BMI, and he didn't think it necessary to go on the liquid diet. Would love to keep in contact also, and go luck on the 6th.

Hi Marcy, I am really really nervous and very excited at the same time. How about you?? My doctor didn't put me on the liquid diet - thank goodness - how are you going on it?? Good luck for the 3rd and definately keep in touch!!

I am being banded on the 3rd of October, and yes I still have some very nervous moments. Reading these responses I am really excited that I only have 4 sleeps to go now. The support from this site is FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Thanks so much for that. I am going in for my op on the 3rd October, and I was going to sit down today and write my shopping list - BUT you did it for me - Thank you!!!!!

My doctor has advised that it would be a good idea to go on a multi vitamin after surgery. He also said that capsules and tablets will be hard to get down. Does anyone have suggestions on what good multi options we have after being banded? I would love to hear from anyone, particularly those in Australia - Ta!!!!

I have never heard of crystal light, we don't have it in Australia. Do you mix it with water to add flavour??

I have my surgery the day after you and the biggest thing that scares me is the general anaesthetic. Good luck, I hope your surgery goes really well!!!
