Christina 923 That sounds awesome. My highest weight was 260 day of surgery 245 and now 230..my weight seems to be coming off slowly, maybe 1-2 lbs a week. My surgery was the 16th but I'm only getting about 500 calories in a day. Are you able to get your calories and proteins in? Are you able to exercise yet? I am happy that I'm losing but others seem to lose faster than me and I'm just trying to figure out what I need to change or improve on..thanks for any advice..

I was sleeved on the 16th and am currently on soft foods phase. Has anyone tried fresh greenbeans? I just strung and broke a whole pot of them but not sure if I should try them or not. I have done ok on eggs, cottage cheese and yogurt but can only eat about quarter of a cup and then wait 30 mins and do the other half of the cup.

Second day post op..still abdominal pain.. Been coughing more today, hope that stops soon..coughing is horrible. Did not get all my fluids in but got in more today than yesterday. Seems like every time I eat or drink I get bad gas like pains..does anyone else feel the same?

My surgery was yesterday the 16th..not been released from the hospital yet but I have been walking and walking. I hope to be released soon. I have been able to sip water slowly and some broth but nothing else..not hungry at all..good luck to all...

I am excited for Monday and my new life to begin..I had 2 weeks of protein drinks and sensible meals in the evening but have to do all liquids today and tomorrow...it was not too bad today...one more day and so much to get ready...did anyone else have to take any antibiotics the day before surgery? My surgeon wrote the prescriptions for me and I have to start taking them tomorrow afternoon...

I have my surgery scheduled for Monday the 16th at 9:50...I am excited and nervous..any of you ladies that already have had the surgery have any suggestions about wearing a bra after the surgery?? With my gall bladder removal, I had one incision right where by bra lays but I went home and did not wear one and did not care..but if I am at the hospital and walking around I want to be decent but not in pain...

My date is also June 16th so excited but worried at the same time...

Wow, it sounds like lots of you have had the same conversations that me and my husband have had, glad I'm not the only one... My husband tries to be supportive but he is so worried about the surgery and the potential complications...that he usually explodes with the eat less, exercise more, you're giving in tooo easy conversation...I let him get it out of his system and then tell him the benefits out weigh the potential complications by a long shot...every time he calms down but he is still worried..good luck everybody!!!

Good luck, my surgery is the 20th but I am having the same kind of emotional roller coaster...I just keep looking through all the posts and reading all the encouraging stories out there...hope you have a speedy - healthy recovery

Ok it's getting real now..I just got scheduled for June 16th...I am really anxious but also very excited..I may have been able to get in earlier if I didn't get bronchitis this past weekend...but I want to be totally better before the surgery...

I went today for my final meeting with the weight loss center..I went straight to the surgeons office and made my pre-op appt for next Thursday the 29th...I was told it could be as soon as 2 weeks from that date for surgery..I am to start my pre-op diet of 2 protein shakes and sensible low carb dinner. I also have to do a 2 day liquid diet 48 hrs prior to surgery...like so many on here I am excited and nervous too.. I have thought about this surgery for some time now but I had my first appt on April 1st so it has moved rather quickly..I have insurance through BCBS and it only took them 3 business days to approve this surgery... I know the feeling. I may be just one step ahead of you. I just got my call for final approval from the insurance company. I have my last pre-surgery meeting with nut tomorrow, then it's on to meet with the surgeon and set the date...I am so excited and nervous at the same time.. I find I am looking longingly at "skinny" clothes and dreaming of the new me..I have absolutely sworn off buying anymore "fat" clothes..or anything for myself that I would wear.. I had my endoscopy and they found some polyps but the surgeon thought it was nothing..up until today I had not been on this website. I am so so excited but also very nervous..the doc office submitted my package to the insurance company today..I am waiting on my official date of surgery.. good luck
