    OCTOBER 2014

Pureed diet. I have eaten, scrambled egg, scrambled egg with a third a slice fat free cheese, fake crab salad, chicken, black beans, and sf dark chocolate pudding w protein added. Eggs, chicken, black beans and pudding all good. Normally about 2 measured ounces of the protein, quarter cup of other. My stomach has been fine except not like the taste of a couple things which more just made me nauseous at the first bite. The egg with no cheese and the fake crab salad.

wow, I have not heard anyone who was told to take an nsaid, mine said it would be to hard on the belly and could cause problems, most others that I have heard from got the same info. I would love to take an aleve or motrin, though I weened myself off them prior to surgery. It is amazing the different info we get. good job on getting off the narcotic meds.
  7. Hang in there until you can get help. The main thing is to distract yourself when you have urges to slip into old habits. Do you have a friend you can call. I remember one night driving around Memphis cruising food joints, like an addict looking for street drugs. I was so angry that I could not just be bad, wanted to just pig out, my normal reward for being stuck out of town traveling alone for work, I ate, and I ate good. I called a reformed drug addict I knew and talked myself down off the ledge. Are you going to local support groups, can you find one, if you are not? reach out here if you need to and no one else is available. Find a new hobby or project to immerse your self in. We fixated on this during the preop and the beginning post op phases, but once you are through them, it is easy to let the old habits slip back in because it is not new anymore. Remember your hard work and stick with it. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Oh hey, I am back to work today. I am doing two 4 hour shifts split up. I work in my car, just sitting. I can move around pretty good so my legs don't get stiff, but Damn my belly was sore after this morning. Hopefully tonight won't be so bad or I may need to rethink this.

  17. I am having to crush three pills, one antibiotic, hctz and amlodipine and add to food/drink. tried yogurt, not gonna work, tried crystal light, equally nauseating. Any suggestions? At this point I am at a loss and would rather just not take them.

@@Jyoyonomore, I appreciate your sympathies, but I actually am doing very well. I just learned early on, Water is not agreeing with me, and switched. Was out tonight at my weekly trivia game, did order water but added crystal light, again no problem. I went out yesterday on an outing for about 12 hours, took a cooler with yogurt, with Protein added, and two protein shakes. Had Soup with protein when I got home. it was a good fun day. I walked and walked, had a blast. Can't wait for Tuesday for pureed foods.

I have not had a sip of Water since 2 days after getting home. Just made me have pain and liquid burp. Crystal light or Powerade zero, getting in my liquids requirement most days. Not sure when I will try water again. And I enjoyed it before surgery. I think it has to do with this the baby belly, just too much for some

Oh I get the rumblies like crazy, mostly late at night and some after I eat or am drinking to get liquids in. Not hunger, but kinda feels like a growling stomach without the hunger part. I have heard it is normal, so not stressing on it personally, just kinda funny.

    Any help welcome

http://milestogo.squarespace.com/post-op-food-phase-2-full-liqu/ http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/08/pureed-foods.html these have ideas for the full liquid and pureed stages. I personally did not like the isopure clear. I got a sample pack of unjury Protein online as well as a container of unflavored, which I add to the creamy Soups. I have Fago 0 yogurt for Breakfast, add in unjury strawberry sorbet, for flavor and protein. I have a Protein Drink for lunch and then creamy chicken Soup (strained so no chicken bits) adding in unjury unflavored protein. Then sip sip sip Powerade zero all day and all night long.
