@Beni I always picture the surgeon like the great and powerful oz, behind the curtain, running the robot.

I started my journey at 4'11 and 224, I did a very strict diet for 6.5 months and now am 174. My surgery is Tuesday 10/14, and cant wait to see where I end up. Never been thin in my life, been obese since puberty.

I found a picture of my surgeon, and prolly a few others are having it done the same, so I thought I would share. When I shared with my friends and family, they were all impressed. ROBODOC!

Ever hear of hair falling out before surgery, I have been losing for about a month and a half and surgery is not til 10/14. I did lose 50 over the last six months on the preop diet. Very stressed and menopausal to boot. Hoping my stopping point will be sooner because of it, but doubt it.

Day three liquid diet, my one serving of grits/oatmeal makes this do-able. No one else has experienced hairloss presurgey, wonder if the 50 pounds I already lost since March plays into it. Stress and menopause moat likely, but not good. Want the surgery behind me, Tues the 14th, can't come soon enough.

I have noticed my hair is already falling out in clumps, and I havent even had surgery yet. I could blame stress, menopause, whatever, but I have long thin hair and I am freaked. Been taking Biotin for a few weeks now, gonna end up in a wig, yikes.

Starting my 1 week liquid diet today, one week from now I will be out of surgery by this time. Getting nervous ???? but excited????, little manic maybe ????

Hey @@NOLAGal, I am scheduled for 10/14, 7:30 am. I am doing a one week liquid diet, starting Tuesday. what about you for liquid diet? Seems many doctors do many different plans. Good luck and there are a couple different threads for us October folks.

Kinda perturbed, my Dr had said one week, I planned for two and then during my preop, he acted like with my job, he thought I might need to take longer. I am a contractor and no work no pay . I am in my car for 8 hrs at time with little opportunity for breaks. A bathroom might be 15 minutes away. And the is the increased blood clot risk due to being immobile. I discussed my concerns about my job during first couple appointments and now he changed his tune.

I am so sorry for both of you, hopefully things and be straightened out and you can get back on the surgery schedule. Cpower100, how much weight have you lost, what is your current BMI and do you have comorbities? I am not aware of the tests you referred to, I did not have them done. I worry about my bmi getting to low myself, but was told that once the insurance gave an approval number, I did not have to worry about going below the bmi of 35 and I hope that is true because the liquid diet is gonna put me under. I went with a pretty coral, hope I don't need to take it off my fingers, but we gotta do what we gotta do.

Are the ready to drink Protein drinks better refrigerated. I bought my first ready to drink EAS AdvantEdge drinks and noticed it did not say anything, but seems to me they would be better. And post surgery, do cold items affect the pouch?

Hey my b-day is October 3rd, lotsa libras here , my surgery is oct 14th. Been overweight all my life, with many unsuccessful diets. I have been on this diet since March 21st and as of today, I have lost 50 pounds preop. Got a call in to dr office, wanna make sure its ok if I go below 35 bmi before surgery, but after approval. Luckily I only have to do one week liquid diet preop.
