Hi my name is Pat. I am 53 years young. I have been mairried to a wonderful man for 35 years. We have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. After having my first son I had gained 10 lbs. My second son I gained another 20 lbs. After having our fourth child I was 45 lbs overweight. That was in 1985. Since then I have gained weight consistantly. In 2007 I quit smoking, not only did I put on 30 more lbs, I found out just how good food tasted. Here I am 5'4" 245 lbs and I am miserable. I have been on the roller coaster diet for years. My health is starting to show the problems that come with being overweight. I just want to be healthy, and if I look better after, thats a plus.
