Just wanted to publicly thank my boys for years of faithful service. You will be missed but not forgotten. Your memory will live on through the 2 off spring you have created. College is too expensive I can not allow a 3rd or 4th. Hey guys. just went through a vasectomy 48 hours ago. Procedure wasn't too bad. first side hurt like hell. I could feel nearly everything!!! Second side was totally painless. I am back home. feet up. ice pack on the nuts. thinking I should return to work tomorrow. I walk and move around a lot. I hope I can handle it. Doc said I should wear supportive underwear, but I am a total boxer guy and love to let the meat hang. I wasn't about to go buy some tighty whities for a few days... Questions. when were you totally back on your feet? exercising? running? have any complications? what about the hanky panky?

don't think I had one in..... perhaps it was during surgery but I never knew of it.

hit the gym. replace the fat that was there with muscle. that has been my goal. I have been pretty successful. I like the way they are looking. you get out what you put in! Various other factors play part too, such as genetics, moob size prior to weight loss, total weight loss. would rather have moobs than be 300+ again!!! compression shirt as a quick fix?

Wonderful thread! I hit up the jerky aisle too. I really like the taste of the golden island pork jerky (Korean flavored)

great work. I just started running (pretty much first time ever) have my times down to a 10 minute mile. heart is no longer pounding through my chest. I can imagine in a few months I will be doing even that much better. great work. keep it up!!!
-
congrats. that is awesome work. look at all that you have accomplished since surgery date. amazing!!!
-
time will tell....... I started getting GERD post-op. I am 5 months post-op and may try to get off the meds to see if it is gone, but I will wait a while longer before I try. hopefully you don't have it anymore, that would be great!!!

time to do some squats and leg presses. it'll help build muscle in your rear!

Weight Training After The Gastric Sleeve Surgery?
Rovobay replied to OilSooner's topic in The Guys’ Room
Glad someone raised this thread from the dead! never a exercise or gym guy (on a regular basis ever). I did notice that post surgery my weights and sets went down. I have been working very hard, and 5 months post-op I have begun to add to those pre-surgery weight levels. It is possible. good advise above on this thread. I started lifting about 6 weeks post op as recommended by my dr. -
@@monopoly2015 I hear ya!!! I was getting ready for bed last night and dropped down for some exercise. was doing push ups and looked under me (I was shirtless) and saw the skin just hanging there. I haven't really seen that view before. it wasn't that nice. I think I may try some kind of compression shirt soon, just to see if they tickle my fancy. gotta a major role in a wedding this summer. gotta look good!!!

sweet bro!!! I am in same boat. that is a true victory right there. My wake up moment for getting serious about weight loss was when my uniform pants 44" could no longer button. it takes forever to get new ones shipped. 5 months post op I am wearing 38". I have a pair of 36" that button, but a few more pounds will make them oh so nice. couldn't even imagine a 34" I was a 36" in high school. (many many moons ago) awesome work. keep it up.

@@gowalking that's great. I think pictures do help. I still feel large, but I see pictures and really notice the difference. I think it will take a long time for my mind to catch up to my actual body.

lots of studies on here about that. divorce rate seems to be high for various reasons. I am married. has a lot to do with communication. so much changes when you lose. you may become more confident, partner jealous, various things. head over to the research sub section and find some articles. good luck

had to google them. spendy. decent reviews. see you just got sleeved. are you looking for these now? I think waiting until you lost more would be wise considering how spendy they are. http://www.amazon.com/Spanx-Cotton-Compression-607-White/dp/B003FPZFC0/ref=sr_1_2_mc?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1423673143&sr=1-2

My surgery was smooth in and out in just over an hour. nothing else done. small liver, because I stuck to my pre-op diet like a champ. -
How long was your hospital stay?
Rovobay replied to Mom0f3inOC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
1 night was all I needed. out the door next morning at noon. slept in a recliner for a week as being totally vertical hurt too much. it was about a month before I could sleep on my stomach. all a distant memory (5 months out today!!!) -
