I had one too. horrible night of sleep. I wanted my own bed. found out I do NOT have apnea. good to know, bad for the wallet. I think they want to know also for the anesthesiology during surgery... but I'm not too sure.
-
wise words above. I've lost 15lb pre-op and I can already notice a difference in energy. take it slow. you will recover, then you can grab the bull by the horns!

in exactly 7 days, I will be sleeved. I am down 12 pounds in 14 days on the pre-op diet. Things are good I am getting pretty excited.

Did you know Your Protein Drinks Can be Covered By Your Insurance?
Rovobay replied to Insure Nutrition's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
fingers crossed. submitted info a while ago. still haven't heard yet. my surgery is sept 10. -
hope you are having luck on your hunt to find someone to cover the revision. Have you called http://www.legacyhealth.org/weight ? I am going through them. There staff is very nice and helpful. Give them a call. talk to their insurance guru. She may have a few insurance companies that cover those costs. If not, look into a self-pay outside the US?.?.?.

Yo!!! A week from today is our big day!!! I am 2 weeks into my 3 week pre-op diet and am down around 12 pounds!!! Picked up some supplies for after the surgery so I am ready to go on the road to recovery. Gas-x strips, chewable multi and calcium. Have food all prepped too. I am still waiting to hear if I am going to get my protein shakes from http://www.insurenutrition.com/ . I hope I do. Not nervous at all and ready to start this new chapter of my life. I think this Sunday will be tough on me, because we are having a huge bbq/baby shower for my expecting wife (Due November). there will be a ton of food. I think I will stick to a bunless turkey burger. Anyway, good luck to you all. lets keep eachother updated and also create a new thread in the post-op forum for recovery stuff. cheers.

Rovobay replied to vbm510's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

GUYS ROOM GUYS ROOM GUYS ROOM!!!!!! Hey, some good ideas here. never thought about how to Celebrate. I guess celebrating in the past always included calories!!! I assume, that I can celebrate by buying the next size down and donating my clothes.... I donate to the Vietnam Veterans of America. I bag it and set it out front. They drive by and pick it up. Very convenient.
-
tough to hear that!!! Sounds like everything will work out in the end. This next chapter in your life just took on a couple more pages is all. hang in there....

congrats to all of you above who have been kicking some serious ass. I am 13 days from my surgery. I am looking forward to being able to post on here about my successes I will have.... I guess I have been somewhat successful as far as number go. I'm 35 and my high weight was 320 about a month ago. since starting my pre-op diet 9 days ago I am down to 307. I have also been hitting the gym at least 3 times per week. Today, I was there at 5am. so many motivating factors to get healthy.... I can't wait. piss off, you fat..... get off of me!!
