Rovobay replied to MrsOptimistic's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hundreds of hours on this forum, and yet another new area I have not been to yet........ here I go. (sept 10 sleever) -
one of the several reasons I LOVE this site. reading as much as I do on here, I am ready and this will not catch me off guard. it sucks, because this early point post surgery, I love getting on the scale every morning and seeing a new lower weight. I think I will have the wife hide the scale and break it out just once a week. I can't wait to get healthy!!!!

congrats on your 100# mark. you deserve that treadmill. I haven't thought about rewards yet, but I should write some things down to motivate me.

Rovobay replied to Rovobay's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@alexsisv welcome to the other side!!! glad you are healing nicely!! -
great. sounds like a similar diet to what I had for a 3 week pre-op diet. it is a nice transition to the post-op diet stages. I think it helps mentally prepare you. good luck!!!

I hope you feel better. congrats on all your amazing work thus far. Proud of you. I'm only 8 days out. I can't wait until I am at 24 weeks. wonder what is in store for me. you are 2/3 of your way to go. awesome!!!!!!!

How necessary is this pre-op diet?
Rovobay replied to Luana526's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
fast forward 2 years...... you at goal weight, living life, confident, happy.... won't those 2 weeks all be worth it? just a short chapter on your road to greatness? yeah, all programs are vastly different. perhaps for many different reasons. my clinic (a bariatric center of excellence) required me to do a 3 week pre-op of a low carb, low fat, high Protein diet following a strict list of available foods. although I was just sleeved 8 days ago, I have already forgot about those three weeks and I am focused on what tomorrow holds in store. take care, follow your plan, you will be successful. keep up your good work!!! -
i would like that everybody handles the stress of surgery differently. Give it some more time, stick to your plan, try to stay positive. I am sure it will all fall into place.

Mom 22 years my senior is in better shape than I am !
Rovobay replied to Angel720's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
nothing like a little family competition for some motivation. At the very least, you have made great progress thus far. Sounds like she got the upper hand on you with a 1 year head start. let that drive you to be better. -

when you were 4 days post op
Rovobay replied to JDD713's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
wow. it is hard to say how one will recover from surgery. depends on a variety of factors. I think I am having a great recovery but at four days out, I don't think I would be in the mood for a wedding. depending on how close you are to the wedding party, you could just make a cameo at the reception for a while. by then, all the food, drink, dance, chaos, no one will noticed you left. -
wow congrats to you
