  1. congrats and good luck. if you have been reading a lot on here like I did before surgery you will know that there are so many possible feelings/outcomes. first few days will be the hardest. gas, soreness, inability to drink more than a sip at a time. stick to your programs and ask for help/advice on here when needed. my word of advise.... if you feel a sneeze. hold on for dear life and try to avoid it. I sneezed 6 days out and that was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. coughing sucks too. just apply pressure to your large incision. keep us posted!!!
  2. I do breakfast morning snack lunch afternoon snack dinner late night snack I include my Vitamins in with the meal, not separately...
  3. @@excited2gethealthy been going to gym since 2 weeks post op. sleeved 9/10. light at first. 3 weeks started running 5k 3 times a week and lifting (not anything affecting abs.... still sore) 4+ weeks now, I am full bore hauling ass. sweating like a pig (pigs don't sweat). feel great!!! take your time and listen to your body. no pain, no gain, but don't take that too literal.

  7. @@TxCop300 glad to hear you are recovering so well. I don't think your days of eating your favorite foods are over. the only thing that is over in the amount of which you most likely ate!!! instead of a full rack of ribs, you eat 2!!! if you pace your eating it will take just as long to eat them. enjoy that flavor.... damn.... now I'm hungry. (eating some Beans with melted cheese and chalula. you'll see.
  8. I was told 4 as well but I would check with your doctor!

    Sex... Oh My God... Sex!

wow, just finished the entire thread.... lots of posts... all fun. I ALWAYS find it funny that these threads in the MENS ROOM are about 80% women replies. I have never posted in the women's room. If OP wanted women comments, he would post in the general areas. Anyway, I still like reading them.... men and women. Lotta horndogs around here. I am one myself. I am down 42 lbs so far. feel great. 8 month preggo wifey is too uncomfortable at the moment so I will settle with other means of release..... but after baby (+ 6 week recovery....)??? watch out!!!

whey Protein ISOLATE is the best form of protein. I get premier Protein shakes from insure nutrition (insurance covered my shakes). follow the ad on site. also got sample pack from Syntrax nectar. pretty good. also have an Isopure unflavored to add to recipes. (amazon) and a vanilla whey isolate from amazon their number one best seller here: http://www.amazon.com/Body-Fortress-Advanced-Isolate-Vanilla/dp/B004EQR53Q/ref=sr_1_1_m?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1407520571&sr=1-1&keywords=isolate

Day 14 Post op and weight stall?

totally normal....... I am 4 weeks out and stalled for about 10 days now... body is recovering from major surgery that altered your digestive tract. keep your Water and Protein intake up. Take care
  21. @@limbo6 I am 4 weeks out and lost 24 since surgery date. 40 over all. last 10 or so days.... nothing. stalls happen too. be prepared for them. I weigh more than you so %age wise you are doing much better than I am. I am running 5k 3 times a week along with weight lifting, meticulously counting and logging my calories. As much as I had tired I have not eaten over 800 calories. Please be happy with your loss so far... it is great. @@hopeliveshere OMG 1.5 month stall 1 week post-op? I hope that is not me. wow. judging my your signature and profile info, it didn't seem to slow you down overall. great progress. you are almost to goal. great work!!!
  22. I was told by my doctor that with rapid weight loss comes the increased risks of developing gall stones. I was prescribed Ursodiol for the next 6 months. taking 1 pill in the morning and another at night. These pills are expensive!!!! cash price of 180 pills (90 day supply) is over $1200. luckily my insurance had me cover only $158. My doc says that these pills will reduce the chance of gall stones from 32% to 2%. Just curious if this is a normal Rx for others post surgery (who have their gall bladder...). http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a699047.html
  23. I know it feels good to hear that... I for one, am proud of your loss thus far. soon it will be so much more people will know. it is probable that people have noticed but have not commented.... weight can be a sensitive subject for many. keep it up!!!
  24. sub'd for the results.... something crispy sounds good right now. I need to go get some kale outta the garden and make my own chips...

    Vsg 3 weeks post op

I didn't puree per se but I did mince the hell out of some chicken and added various sauces while on the puree stage. just took my time to eat. it was most likely the oil and breading mixture that did not agree with you. next stage is right around the corner.... almost on to regular (healthy) foods!!!
