3 month physicians supervised weight loss
Rovobay replied to deedee19625's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
do not recommend gaining weight. I have read stories on here about those who gain weigh during the supervised diet can be denied for wls. use that time to start training your body for its new lifestyle. during my supervised diet I gave up drinking and soda, as well as other bad habits. -

Rovobay replied to Shace's topic in The Guys’ Room
GUYS ROOM!!!!! @@Shace welcome to the site brother. I am almost 8 weeks out from surgery and I love it. First few days after were very uncomfortable. First week I slept in a recliner. at 8 weeks out I am down 54lbs including the 3 week pre-op diet. my life has changed. I feel so good. I often laugh at how little I eat. I love the fact that hunger no longer dictates when I eat and that I have to remind myself to go eat. getting in all my Protein and exercising like a raged man. I am pumped and ready for what the next 50 pounds will do to me! best of luck on your journey and keep us all updated. -
@OKCPirate good luck today!!!!

What’s Your Halloween Plan?
Rovobay replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Bought a costco bagged candy to hand out to the little trick or treaters (and the oldies who don't know when to stop). Taking my three year old daughter and 37 week pregnant wife around the neighborhood. I am dressed as a doctor, daughter as a really cute butterfly. I wonder who will tire first? the wife or little one? forecast is looking dry which is better that the down pouring commute this morning. excess candy will be delivered to my co-workers as I try to fatten them up while I drop weight....oh how the tides have turned!!! -

Rovobay replied to FishingNurse's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
That is soooooo freakin' awesome. I need to dig through my medical history too and see similar target goals like that!!! Congrats to you!!! -
So, I just got back from my first ever trip to Trader Joes.... Awesome little store. Although small, it had a ton of variety. I got some stuff for the family that I wouldn't normally buy for my self (cookie butter, triple ginger snaps), but I also got some good food at good prices. nuts, dried fruit, prosciutto, mozzarella, greek yogurt kale dip, artichoke hummus, and some frozen veggies (soy Beans, spinach). told the check out guy that it was my first trip, and was rewarded with a free reusable bag!!! awesome.

"...but you're 7 pounds short of qualifying"
Rovobay replied to Engteacher's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
go to amazon and order some lead underwear for use a weigh in time. seriously though, what are your insurance requirements? how many years history? bmi? co-morbidities? slouch a little when they measure your height... -
Have not lost appetite; weight loss stalled at 50.
Rovobay replied to robisfubar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hope you can find a good answer to this. are you counting calories? exercising? following the mantra of Protein first? -
Booze, specifically whiskey, is likely the leading cause of me getting to my highest weight. I am proud to say that I have not had a sip of booze in over 2 months. That is the longest it has been in over 15 years!!! not too tempted but the thought still sits in the back of my mind. I know I will drink again, but I won't let it control me. (I am only 6 weeks post-op)
