it will all be worth it, a few months from now you will have forgotten all about that silly pre-op diet. I have.... shrinking the liver prior to surgery helps your surgeon.
-
LOL just kidding. no worries... 1400+ posts since joining in Oct 2014.... damn, that's a lot!!! it is easier to see what room you are in when you are on a computer. have little experience using this site from the app on my tablet or phone.

I'm done telling folks. They don't get it
Rovobay replied to wannaBthinsoon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
so glad I joined this site long before surgery. I have never liked attention or being in the spot light or really even talking about myself. The only person who knows is my wife. so much easier.... loose lips sink ships... you think you only tell a handful of people, but they will tell more... keep it close, keep it tight. that is unless you like talking and explaining to the uneducated. your choice really... I support you and congrats on that choice. Happy new year!!! -
Going back to work, what do I say?
Rovobay replied to tfarr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
"good morning".... is always an appropriate thing to say. you may be surprised and no one will say anything. if they do, give up a truthful snippet. low cal, high Protein, exercise routine. all true. no one will bug you after that, if they do, they are way to freakin' nosy. congrats by the way on the surgery and weight loss!!! -
scary stuff!!! opened mine up a few weeks ago for some routine maintenance and also on a mission thinking I would find a treasure chest full of missing socks.... no dice. but I did clean it up a bit. what I need to do is clean the entire dryer vent line that leads to the outside. but I would need to go into the crawlspace and do that. it is in the 20's today, so I will put it on my spring cleaning list.

wish it weren't true, but I had a good laugh anyway...

Cottage cheese beef jerky all the things mentioned above.... dang, now I feel hungry!

not enough info.... when was surgery? how much have you lost? I think you are probably doing just great. 4 days of exercise is nice. give your body time to adjust. are you still in losing stage or maintenance? keep up the good work.

How Would You Describe Your Weight Loss in 2014?
Rovobay replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
what a freakin' year. I started my journey in May. finally meeting a doctor for the first time in years after finding this site and researching that my insurance would cover the surgery. 3 or so months later I am sleeved. 3 months post op now and I am down over 70 pounds. cholesterol in May was 245, December was 185. I work out regularly and feel wonderful. I can't wait to see what the new year brings!!! -
Got my sleeve on 12-23-2014... Now for the questions
Rovobay replied to Shace's topic in The Guys’ Room
Guy's Room It all sounds normal. today is the 29th... I bet you are feeling a million times better by now. 2 weeks post-op even better.... 6 weeks post-op you will have nearly forgotten that you had surgery and are only reminded when you keep seeing that scale drop. welcome to the other side brother. give us an update @@Shace -
@@Stevehud right??? they will see this post and still comment on the thread too..... I respect their room and have never gone and posted in their respective area. one of the issues with the forum...

244 4 pounds lost during a holiday week!!!
-
@@danyelleb OMG that would be so awesome. I think a marathon is on my bucket list now....
-
I feel you on the sneeze. that will remind you that you had the surgery. I remember feeling like I was going to die the first time I sneezed (6 days post op) oh it was horrible. That is my only real memory of those first few weeks. congrats again.
-
That is great. on track for some serious weight loss now!!!
-
actually might be really helpful. a break every once in a while is a good thing for your routine. don't feel guilty at all. 5 days a week is awesome.

@@supportive hubby don't wanna start a war, but if you want everyone (male and female) post in another sub-forum. I was supporting you in your implied wishes for male only responses when you posted in this guy only room. @LipstickLady I don't agree with some of these comments either, but it was someone's advise, as requested by the OP....

like Water on a duck's back.... keep it up.

now that I have lost 75lbs, I would like to give my body a chance at running.... I would love to become a "runner." I have been solely an elliptical guy right now. I have greatly increased my time/distance/resistance over the past few months. Got to get that C25K installed and hit the roads.
-
GUYS ROOM.... just saying..... I truly feel that most people don't look at what room they are posting to so I thought I would let you know. please respect the rules.
