I am 47 yrs old living in Florida. I love to cook, paint, crochet and most crafts.  I am married with 4 beautiful daughters ages 10 - 18. I have accumulated 7 cats, and one dog. All rescues. Firm believer in spade and neuter your pets! I am a 7 yr inflammatory breast cancer survivor. It was a huge tough battle without insurance mentally and physically. Luckily I survived for my daughters, unfortunately the aggressive cancer treatment left me with a lot of new problems of depression, fibromyalgia, arthritis, nerve damage, and weight gain and ultimately I am physically disabled but feel blessed to spend more time with my children.

A friend of mine had lap band surgery and from the moment she told me about hers I knew WLS was right for me. I immediately went home and search and scoured the internet for a surgeon with the right credentials and within a few months was scheduled for the band. My surgery was on June 20th, 2014 and after the initial 2 weeks shakes liquid diet it has been smooth sailing.
