Ex-Friend Keeps Writing Negatively About Me on Different Blogs and Web Sites
Colleen C replied to Sharon C.'s topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Wow, I agree stop reading that BS. You already know what you need, listen to your inner voice. The only thing you get out of reading it is hurt and angry. You don't need that or the guilt. You have every right to do what you want and need. Please, stop reading it and when people point it out to you about her blogs, tell them you have moved on and you don't want to hear it. Block her emails etc. Still shaking my head, Move on and good luck, see you on the journey Colleen -

Will I Be Approved with MI
Colleen C replied to LindaWinda's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It likely depends on your insurance. My husband has labels too and is even considered disabled but has qualified for the surgery. I personally suggest seeking out info from your Dr. that writes out your meds. We all need all the back up we can get! Good luck, I hope it all works out. -

R U ready to recieve your Healthy Body? What R the TOP things you are excited to do when you hit your goal?
Colleen C replied to cindyvirden.com's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
For me: 1. Going out of the house to do things with my children. 2. Shopping for clothes, anywhere & buying styles/colors I like rather that what is available in my size. 3. Getting down to a weight I can get breast reconstruction due to cancer. 4. Feeling better about sex, looking better. 5. Becoming who I am on the inside on the outside. Of course overall HEALTHIER! Less medications. -
Good luck to you! Seems normal to be nervous. I am sure you put a lot of thinking/planning into this so relax. My surgery is on the 20th. We will soon be one step closer to our goal!

My surgery is the 20th of June! I keep reminding myself this is a long term goal with lots of ups and downs. Relax, we are on our way! SOON! How is your pre-op diet going? I am finding it to be a bit of a challenge but I am following it.

How/Why did you choose Lap Band?
Colleen C replied to josiek1988's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I recently chose the lap band, my surgery is set up for June 20, 2014. The reason I chose it over the others is because of the risk involved from the surgery. If nothing else, it seems like the safest way to start and hopefully be the help I need. -

For me the thing that led me to lapband rather than the others was less risk involved. -

I am on day 4 of a two week pre-op diet. I admit, it s REALLY hard. I can only have chike shakes, broth, Water and sugar free drinks.I have not cheated and don't plan to but honestly it has ran through my mind. I try to think of it as if I can't do it now how will I ever be successful. Regardless, do better because you know better. I think everyone suffers through it and before long we will be able to eat actual food. It is just part of our process. Looks like your surgery was today. I hope it went well!
