I had lapband done for medical reasons.

I am 5'4" AND WAS 204 LBS.  I have uncontrolled diabetes and RA ( along with other spine issues), I am in menopause at 41 due to a partial hystorectomy at 28 and one ovary being removed when I was 37.  My metabolisim is shot also. 

My diabetes was in the 200's in the mornings, but every medicine I took would drop my BS to the 50's. My father has been in a nursing home for 10+ years due to diabetes .. and I SWORE that I would NEVER be like that, that I would be there for my sons and step kids and future grandkids.

So far I have lost 15 lbs in 2+ weeks.

I am hoping this journey will be a positive one for me and my family
