    Halloween challenge

First time for me also! I'm in!
  2. @@_nany18, please add me too, Jodi Norberg. I had my surgery on June 3rd.
  3. I am just going to come right out and say it...I want to be skinny. I was a small child and did not become overweight until after I had kids. I am 5'4" and I have a goal weight of 135; however, I have not been at that weight for about 30+ years. If and when I reach my 135 pound goal I am really going to have to evaluate whether or not I am done. I know this journey is about way more than being skinny, but I still wonder all the time what it would be like to be that small.

    Post Op June 2014 Sleevers

I was sleeved on June 3rd. I had a little bit of a reaction to the anesthesia, which caused a lot of nausea and vomiting right after the surgery. I was up and walking right when I was taken to my room. The walking really helped with the gas. I could not ingest anything at all, even ice chips the day of the surgery because of the nausea. Day 2 was much better and I was discharged at 2:00 pm. Since then I have been doing better every day. I have not taken any pain medication at all since the hospital. My incisions are all healing nicely and I am starting to lose the "super glue". I have started walking on the treadmill, very slowly but at least it is something. I am still on the full liquid diet with the addition of Protein shakes this week. Next week, I will add cottage cheese and eggs. I am not hungry and it takes me almost an hour to get the Protein Shakes down. I have lost 14 pounds since the surgery and a total of 29 pounds since the pre-op diet. I never once had any "buyers remorse". I know that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself and I am looking forward to a very bright future. Good luck to all of you other June Sleevers!!

    June 2014 Sleevers Check In!

Hi everyone. Had my surgery on Tuesday. I think it went well. I had some reaction to the anesthesia and was sick the first day. I was released yesterday. I couldn't wait to be home, shower, and sleep in my bed. I did have severe cramping the first two days but it is subsiding significantly with walking. Good luck to the rest of the June sleevers!

    Any 2014 June Sleevers

I had my surgery Tuesday morning. I also had problems with nausea from the anesthesia. I came home yesterday afternoon. The pain from the actual surgery is very tolerable. The gas pains not so much. When I lay down to sleep they come in waves about every 45 seconds. Instead of taking the narcotics, I found that taking one gasx and then walking around for about 5 minutes does the trick. I did this three times last night and I slept pretty well. During the day I have been walking as much as possible. I hope everyone getting ready for surgery is not too scared. It really is not bad and just think about how your life is about to change ????

  8. I am 5'4" and 271. My surgery is scheduled for June 3rd. I have been on the pre-op diet for 4 days and I feel pretty good. Can't wait for this new life to start.
  9. Hi everyone, I just started my pre-op diet on Monday, which consists of 4 Protein shakes a day. I woke up this morning with horrible heartburn. I typically do not have heartburn so I am attributing it to the Protein Shakes. I took a 20mg Pepcid but it has not even touched it. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how have you alleviated it? Thanks in advance!
  10. You are such an inspiration! I hope to have such great success.
