I am 30 days out and have lost 19# post op and 5 pre op. I stalled at 202# in week 2 post op for 6 days, but have been lousing around 3-4# a week again. I am very glad for this thread I was worried that I was the only one lousing slowly -

I am 30 days out today and I have lost 24# total and 19# since surgery. . I also see my scale go up and down all the time. And I had a week long stall at 3 weeks out. I was sitting at 202 lol all I wanted was to see the scale at 199 but stalls will pass thank god. And I am once again averaging a 4# weight loss per week. I kind of wish it was faster but then I realize that even if I only lost 10 lb a month I would still reach my goal in 5 months and lousing slower will give my skin time to adjust -
Happy 1 month everyone! I am wondering if you would all share you losses so far ? I am down 24lb, 19 since surgery sitting at 196lb I had a week long stall last week, but am now lousing again. How about you?

Yes our diets are about the same and I just realized I am only 4 days out not 5 lol And I am suppose to have only liquids for 5 days but I guess I started a day early oops but I feel better for having some protein so I wont kick my self for it. Good luck on your per-op im sorry to say, but is sucks not genna lie. But its all worth it in the end!!! Good luck on your journey!

Sorry for the late reply, but I am finally home , happy, healthy and with no regrets I am 5 days out and down 5 lb from day of surgery! I still can feel a small amount of gas in my stomach and intestine when ever I drink something but no major pain at all, im alittle sore when I move but that gets better everyday ( the main sore spot is whare my drain was, in the top left corner) The incision whare my stomach was removed does not hurt at all, cant even feel it so thats a plus .. I am drinking constantly probably reaching around 40-50 oz per day of Clear Liquids so far, I have started to drink small amount of protien drinks today and have started feeling realy good. I still have not felt hunger.. but I start to get light headed and a little dizzy when I need to put some broth in my stomach lol so I guess my body is still going to find a way to make me eat. On average I can eat about 6-8 small spoon fulls of clear broth before I need to stop for awhile. And I will usually be good for and hour or 2 before wanting some more. On a side note I have not taken any pain meds since I left the hospital dont seem to need them yet Well thats all I can think of, let me know if you have any questions ! Megan
