Mexico Bariatric Center
MeganC replied to naturalbabe77's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I am very lucky I have a lower BMI (38.8) So I only have a 9 day pre-op diet.. I start next week, I know is sucks lol because I have been replacing 1-2 meals a day with protein drinks for the last week to get ready. I got major headaches the first few days but now its better. I am also trying to eat healthier like cream of wheat, salads, fruit and home made soups to get in to the habbit.. God I sure miss my ice caps and chips right now lol but its all for the best. Good luck to you too ! Ill make sure to message you right after surgery for an update. -
I have the same problem, I eat when I think I want it.. And if I don't eat I think about it constantly. Its like trying to quit smoking

Be prepared for many, many steps even if self-pay. It takes months.
MeganC replied to MT1000's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am also a self pay going to Mexico. I booked my surgery 2 months ago and am going for surgery Sept 8. I could have gone sooner ( as in too weeks after I booked my appt there was a spot) but had to wait till I could book some time off work for recovery. The surgery cost $5000 for everything including flight. I was only asked to make sure to have an extra $500 available incase I have a hernia I need repaired during surgey. So I can be super fast you just need to plan it right -
