because I cheated and got on the scale instead of waiting until I got to my Dr.s on Thursday!!! oops...when I posted that I had only lost 9.5 lbs...the scale wasn't moving for the week before my period but after I had it another 5.5 down yesterday......sorry...was just really really trying to give you encouragement, but you know how that can be in the written form...sometimes lost in translation I suppose. In any event....I'm cetain you will do fine and the weight will begin to melt away!

Dear dear..lets not compare...you've done twice my amount! But you know each persons journey is exactly that...your journey! I don't know any other diet I would have lost this weight so quickly...and actually I quit weighing myself last week at home...I have no idea how much exactly....but trust me...you got me beat! I'll update on the 26th after my first fill.....

ok...I'm better now...guess I was no where near the desired intake because i just felt so full....perhaps psychological...So now I'm having 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast, orange roughy , sugar free jello for lunch. Orange roughy and one tablespoon of mashed potatos for dinner, then i actually bought babyfood vegatables.oh and 2 SF popsicles per day.Lots of water and crystal lite

a straw? I was told not to use a Straw at all because of the air....which would equate to gas???

I'm so glad to hear from you and equally glad it's all going good! I'm doing pretty darn good.....I don't plan to go back to work until Tues as Monday is a holiday for us....so, I guess I better try on a bra since I haven't since Friday!! : )

I had jello...and popsicles. My doctors office called yesterday and said I could go to the mushies....yummie!!!!

Hey Cool RN! I'm in Texas...was banded on 9/28....Did 3 days of liquids..was pretty easy. Started the soft mushies today....but I keep feeling soooooooooooo full...I'm going to wait another hour or two before I try the fish!!! I'm excited so far about the results and trying to avoid the scale!!!

I'm happy to meet ya Flowery Faery!!! Yes your friend did tell my sister you were the guinea pig. Did you see how small my sister was? She had gastric bypass surgery Feb 06 and wore like a size 20 or something before...she was great support when I chose the lapband! : ) I'm lucky. I did have one of the nurse say, "you didn't even need this surgery" I almost said back to her, "I want to avoid looking like her!"....no biggie what others think. Although, I was a size 16, I also have hypertension and was headed to diabetes! So, I'd rather take care of it now and it's my decision. I did have some eggs with a little lactaid in them....I had nausea for the first time! UGH..the baby food pears I had were ok. I think I'll stick to the liquids a day longer....I'm too chicken, although I bought lots of baby food!

Hi Flower Faery!! I think it was me!!! I was in admiting with my sister, I had a brown and white warm-up on!! And you were with your sister? Yes that was me!!! : ) small world.....I should have asked you if you were on any of the boards! Duh! Yes, same thing gas pains are a mother! None on the left side mostly in the front and the middle of my back! I'm hungry as well, lots of liquids so far and tylenol....chicken broth seems to help.

Ok..had my surgery on Friday. Saw another lady there who went before me with Dr. Spivak too, but I didn't get her name. Went great...finally no gas pains today. First day was so easy it was scary, second night...not so good...gas was painful but I havent had to use anything stronger than liquid tylenol. How do you make one of those tracker thingys?

Doing great! Have no needed any pain meds yet....So, it went really well...I'm so glad I did this and look foward to the results! ....and of course, the shopping!!:whoo:

Sounds good to me. I'm in Arizona until Thurs, I have my surgery Friday so I'm guessing it would have to be the week after that! I'm looking for a support group because I doubt I'll be driving to the ones in Dr. Spivak's office......I do a trek everyday to the Galleria area and thats enough of town for me!!!

Terri and Mary, I'm around the corner at Barker Cypress and Clay! I'm scheduled for banding with Dr. Spivak on next Friday, Sept 28t!!! I'm quite excited about starting this journey!!!
