Hi low BMIs! I just had my surgery July 1. Day of surgery, my BMI was. 34.86. I had the sleeve and was afraid of complications. I am happy to report, zero complications for me. I felt really good after surgery. I even walked around. I have only really experienced some gas pains. I feel so blessed.

I am feeling awesome. Dr. Joya is great! Staff is great. Hospital is state of art better than a hotel. I had no complications what so ever. I considered Lopez in the very beginning of my search but as I continued to search, I decided to go to PV and have JOYA. I live in BTR. -

Looking for July Sleevers!
home3253 replied to fearnot's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on a liquid diet for two weeks. I was sleeved yesterday, July 1st. The first 3 days of pre op was hard. After tHat, I was ok. I had moments I wanted to cheat but I didn't bc I kept thinking that if I cheat, I would be making it hard for myself during surgery. -
I have gas pain and I find that when I walk, I burp more• that eases the gas pain for me.

I'm sleeved! Feeling ok. I think all went well. I will talk to doctor shortly.

yay for you!! I live in Baton Rouge. Having my surgery July 1st in puerto vallarta... Self pay. -
in my opinion, you do it cold turkey. The first 3 days are rough with the 1st day being the worst. I'm day 11 no cheats so far and I'm fine. How many days do you have to do it?

Hello July 1st sleevers! How are you doing? I'm completing day 8 of my 14 day pre op. My family and I will be leaving this Sunday, 29th for puerto vallarta mexico. I will say, day 1-3 was hell for me. After that, it has been manageable. I love the Premier Protein shakes strawberries and cream. I enjoy putting all shakes in the blender to make a shake. How are you people doing?

Day 6 of my 14 day liquid diet. Doc said cream of soups not liquid so broth it is!!! I am down 6 lbs. my head was pounding last night. Maybe bc I needed to drink more water. Tried the Pure Protein shakes today and they are good. Next Sunday I will be puerto vallarta preparing for the VSG. Let's go!!!

I wondering if I can have cream of soups. I was told broth only but I'm going to ask

Yes, we were affected by hurricane Katrina. She kicked our butts. Lol! Hoping all goes well with the passport -
Day 4 of of 2weeks pre op liquid diet. It seems like each day gets a little better. Made a protein shake using my EAS shakes this morning which was a little more filling than just drinking them straight. July 1st hurry up!!!

I started my preop diet yesterday. Liquids... Liquids.... Liquids! Yesterday my head was hurting so bad! Today, it hurts but not as bad. I have drank protein shakes...EAS, chicken broth, powerade zero, and jello. I have two weeks of this. Hope that as the days go by, this gets easier. -
