Hi. I was sleeved 5/8 and I too have pain with every sip I take. It's a pain in my stomach or sleeve now. I have heard that it could be gas bubbles and I took Gas X but it only mildly helped and I have heard for some people it passes after a week or so. I have not once had a feeling of hunger yet. I have had head hunger but not stomach hunger. I am trying to focus on water, protein shakes, and occasional broth, sugar free popsicles, 1/4 cup tomato soup or bean puree diluted. I stopped taking all pain meds and all of my nausea went away. Walking every day a little more is certainly helping. Good luck!
  2. well I am 3 days post op sleeve and have been dying to gulp water but know I can't. I have read all of your comments and seems like I have a 50/50 chance of being able to do it again one day. I will take those odds. It's better than 0! Oh the things I took for granted pre sleeve!
  3. In 2009 I got Lap Band and lost 150 lbs in about 2 years but wasn't getting enough nutrition and became anemic. I got the band loosened and got healthy again and maintained. Then I got pregnant and had the band loosened and after I gave birth to my son we discovered my stomach had slipped up into the band and now the band was travelling. Throughout all of this time I was damaging my esophagus too. So, on May 8, 2014, 3 days ago, I had the Lap Band removed and converted to a gastric sleeve. I have had a migraine for the past two days that I have been home and finally this morning woke up with only a slight headache! Must be a Mothers Day gift! Biggest problem I'm having is this pain in my stomach after every sip I take! Ugh! Please tell me this does go away! -signed Learning My Sleeve
  4. Hi. It doesn't seem crazy to me but here's why...understand I am only a few days post op Sleeve and right now I am barely getting Protein shakes down. I'm sure it will pass and get better day by day but I am experiencing pain in my stomach with every sip I take. So, as a result I am terrified to even think of the solid stage. I can tell you from my experience as a past lap bander that I became anemic and if I had just made myself drink protein shakes and loosened my band a little it may have been alright but ultimately I would have had to have the band removed anyway because it got damaged in my pregnancy and it damages esophagus. Good luck to you!
