It should of kicked in. Have you had your post surgery blood work done yet? It could be a vitamin deficiency.

It shouldn't hurt your surgery. Just be careful and don't do it again. You can consider yourself lucky it wasn't post surgery then you would of really regretted it.

My losses were great too. So much so that I've yet to recover enough to create new ones. I spent few years in Iraq and cared for many of the local cats. The established military law was to exterminate any animals on the installation. No matter how hard I tried I still lost 14 to this policy. Three babies were even born in my room so I could try to protect the mother and her babies. Eventually I did bring one home, Picks was his name. He was born blind and the only way to save him was to have him live in my room. I used SPCA International to help bring him home. Picks didn't only have blindness going against him though. He had a hole in his heart. He lived for nearly nine months, two of them in the United States and he meant everything to me.

Question for the guys on here.....
catdaddy replied to bigsky's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hey bigsky, I see your question hasn't been answered yet. I saw it earlier but I couldn't respond. The reason is I feel nothing but great since the pounds have been coming off. My energy level is through the roof. If you're still feeling different perhaps it's not from the surgery. Have you had lab work done yet? -

I agree with Bellabloom. I hit a stall three weeks ago and was told to eat more, I didn't. I knew my body was doing its on thing and would start loosing again and it did. -
I use BariatricPal as the sole support for my weight loss journey. To me this is the best.

Does your stomach still growl after RNY surgery?
catdaddy replied to Padraigm613's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How different we all are. Every time I eat or drink my stomach growls. It never growls because I'm hungry. -

RNY 4 Month Post Op Update

I think you can have steak about three months after surgery but I'm not sure since I haven't eaten any steak yet. Beef is a little hard for my pouch and when I did have beef I wasn't thrilled with the taste. -

They'll make you walk for one thing so you'll be aware. Most likely you will not be watching TV that night but be sleeping very hard. You'll know visitors are there but you won't be having a lively conversation. -
What ya eating tonight?
catdaddy replied to OleHippieGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
laurarogersclark, first off you should not be eating starches. How much roasted chicken did you eat and was the skin removed? What else did you eat that day? Are you tracking your food and water intake? Do you have a nutritionist to advise you on what to eat? -
RNY 4 Month Post Op Update
catdaddy replied to Tori Joseph's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You must be patient and stay the course. The weight will come off. Everyone has there own pace in this game. For me everything just fell off until three weeks ago and then nothing. But I know in time the weight will start coming off again. Best of luck to you. -

Congratulations Vickie, we both had our RNY the same month. I'm doing good so far too. I hope to hear about your progress in the months to come. -

Blood in stool 3 days post op-tmi
catdaddy replied to Erin11's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I was home and it was five days after my surgery that I suspected something was wrong. My stools were black to start off with but there was a small tint of red. The first call to my doctor they told me to watch it too. I was having diarrhea the whole time and as time went by the stools were getting redder. Two days later I had lost so much blood I could barely walk and after calling my doctor I went to the emergency room. -
Blood in stool 3 days post op-tmi

I did and It was internal bleeding. I waited a little to long to go back to the hospital and was close to dying. I stayed four extra days in intensive care. The good news was they didn't have to go back in but stopped the bleeding with medication.
