Hello, I had the sleeve in September 2014, I lost 100 pounds, I am now 30 pound regained and really not too happy about it. I will be 60 this year and I want to go back to my after surgery weight. I will be getting knee surgery by the end of this year or into next year and I want to be down some pounds before then. I have been going to the gym since January but had to stop for a minute due to my knee issue. I will however will be doing water exercises. I pulled out my books and re read about pre and post surgery. I am now ready to do pantry sweep and start a new. I find that I have no restrictions, nothing makes me sick and I can eat anything. I am ready to stop and begin again. I know I can do it and I will be back in this forum reading for support. Good luck to everyone. Thanks for reading and I will welcome any advise.

Thanksgiving Challenge week 1 check in
pecj25 replied to Lateese92's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in also! SW - 281 CW - 258 Thanksgiving GW - 238 ? -
Hello, I have a desk job. I originally was going to take 2 weeks, but I felt I needed more, just to get use to my eating and/or drinking pattern, plus just to heal, so I am able to take a month and a week off from work. I am sure I will be good and ready to return then. I am 3 weeks post op and feeling better everyday, but I have had some icky feeling days, also and it is good to not worry about being at work. It is a healing that has to take place, and time will heal, although it won't pay the bills, but you will feel better. Good luck to you all.

September Sleevers!
pecj25 replied to SleevedSharon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You sound like you are telling my story. I do feel a lot better this morning. I am trying to get most of my meds in. I still have stomach pains but it is better today than yesterday. I am drinking my first protein drink, not too bad, just drinking 2oz at a time out if 11oz total per container. I hope you and all the others sleevers this week get to feeling good soon and find you are getting slim and healthy. Oh yeah and my pouch is growling up a storm! -
I was sleeved as well on Tuesday. I had a lot abdominal pain. Got better each day.

Congrats to you and continue with your success. I too had surgery yesterday 9/23/14. I haven't walked yet but that is the plan this morning. The pain was really bad for me at first but when I gained control of the meds, it has gotten better. So save my place on the losers bench please, cause here I come! -

I'm 55 And Had My Sleeve Done On August 8
pecj25 replied to CreateHealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi, I just turned 55 on 8/25/14. I am scheduled for the sleeve surgery on 9/23/14. One of the reasons for my surgery is to lose weight to help alleviate pain due to osteoarthritis in my hip joints. Can you shed any light on the feelings of a person in their 50s and the surgery? I know everyone is different, but is there some things you feel I should be aware of? Thank you in advance.
