I totally understand the first time I chewed a vitamin after surgery it came up and I didn't try again until I was 6 weeks out. Now my stomach can handle it.

I found one too, does the one you found have iron? It wasn't in the brand I found.

I was struggling as well but last week I decided that I would get them in no matter what. I take 1 Bariatric Advantage Advanced Multi EA chewable in the morning, 3 Bariatric Advantage chewable Calcium Citrate throughout the day (at least 2 hours apart) and I take Natures Bountry sublingual B-12 at least 3 times a week. The trick for me is to let the tablet dissolve a little(or a lot) in my mouth before I chew it. I find that method far less disgusting and after the first 2 days the taste wasn't as bad. You can do!

Dr. Jalil Illan with Baja Bariatrics and Omar Acosta - A Warning

Thank you for the clarification. The information was offer as if a surgeon without the "letters" could only perform certain surgeries. -

Are the letters required to preform surgery? -

I was able to look up those sites as well. I just found the statement that a doctor with MD could only preform "basic surgeries" a tad misleading since none of the organizations listed was a governing body. -

Oh okay I thought it was based on fact. I checked and every surgeon listed with Kaiser WLA had MD after their name. Maybe its different in other places or locations. I guess that is a good selling point for surgeons if you have to solicit patients. -
I had to go to the ER almost two weeks after surgery to get IV fluids because I was severely dehydrated. All of your symptoms sound like what I was experiencing. Don't be afraid to go and get checked if something doesn't feel right. I felt much better the next day and have not had any problems since. Hope you feel better soon.

Hiding the scale!
Kissifur replied to bigloser2014's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I made the decision in the beginning to only weigh at my Dr appts, at least until I get to maintenance. There have been times when I feel weak and want to know how much I have lost but the universe hid my scale. I saw it somewhere in the house before surgery but now I cannot find it anywhere. It will be two months between my last weigh in and next weigh in and I'm a little anxious. -
OK Girls.. what the heck is the story
Kissifur replied to intelirish's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thank you for this thread. It seems that I woke up from surgery and the first thing gone were my girls. I have been so sad and embarrassed but thanks to everyone here I can see its par for the course. -
Hello my name is Kriss. I am 35 and just celebrated my 14th wedding anniversary. I have 4 sons 18, 15 and 5 year old twins. I'm a full time student, so I took off the last two quarters to work on myself and have WLS. I was sleeved 6/5/14 and am only aware of a 20 lb loss because I do not weigh outside of Dr appt. which for me has kept me from becoming obsessed with that evil scale. Good luck everyone on your journey!

I had the same thing happen while having my labs drawn. The tech noticed all the work the Dr ordered and asked "are you having that stomach surgery?" I said yes and she proceeded to tell me every horror story she ever heard because of course she has no first hand knowledge. I was completely caught off guard and mad. That was the first and last person outside of my household and two close friends that I told. I find myself wonder would she had done the same thing if I was having open heart surgery.

This sounds interesting. Hopefully it's not another "magic pill" to pray on the vulnerable.

Unfortunately every stereotype be it perceived as positive or negative will not be offensive to everyone that does not change the nature. http://brown-face.com -

I have never consider having surgery outside of America until joining this and a few other forums which now I am not totally against the idea of plastic sugery in Mexico. So I completely appreciate the heads up that I should be aware of the dangers that exist which include "Omar Gate". However Susan's story is what stands out for me and I want to let her know I am sorry for what happened to her. This thread actually has me more aware of the dangers of online connections. The woman that came forward were also brave but the post lacked the details that are needed for an outside observer (who doesn't know anyone involved) to make an informed decision. However I do agree that there should be a line that is not crossed. I hope that all of the women involved find the peace and closure they seek. -

Is it possible she was referring to the term "Latin Lover"?
