Reevaluating goals?
missbrown30 replied to yummymummy32's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I know it may be very frustrating but don't give up. Try changing up your eating & exercising routines. I agree with Haleytrim about talking to your nutritionist. I wish you all the best on your journey. -
Lap band miseries all over again with Sleeve
missbrown30 replied to baby_angel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Baby_angel and Sherripark I want to let you know that it does get better as time goes on. I was sleeved on 4/8/14. In the beginning I had nausea, vomiting and could barely eat much of anything. I had difficulty getting in my required Water and Protein amounts until I was about 3 month out. I am 5 months out now and can eat a whole lot more than I could in the beginning which is freaking me out. Just yesterday I wished that I could go back to eating less food because I am afraid that I am eating way too much now. Just try to hang in there and you will soon come to love your sleeve. I wish the both of you all the best on your journey -

Hi Chris, Your story made me cry. First let my extend my condolences for all the losses you've endured over the past several years, especially the loss of your daughter. I also want to congratulate you on your weight loss so far and let you know that you can make it to your goal weight ???? Although I do not know you personally, I am so proud of you. Best wishes, Nia -

You are doing great. When was the last time you lost that much weight in so little time? Please try to be patient. Your body is trying to make sense of all the weight you have already lost. Don't get discouraged. Just keep following the plan and watch those pounds melt away ???? -

Feeling discoraged july sleever
missbrown30 replied to cchapman6's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I agree with McButterpants, be patient and don't compare yourself to others. Most importantly, do not get discouraged. Most everyone experiences the dreaded stalls which can be frustrating. Just continue to follow your plan as prescribed and you will definitely see the weight come off. I have personally experienced at least 4 stalls since being sleeved on 4/8/14. I believe I am a slow loser but a loser none the less. I am currently 61 lbs lighter in just 5 months (I never could have done that before the sleeve). I went from a size 20 to a size 12 (trying to get to a size 8). As long as I continue to get in my required amounts and more of Protein, Water and exercise, I do not worry about what the scale says. I wish you much success on your journey. -

You look great! Love the black dresses. I agree with your NUT about going back to basics to help you lose the last 50 lbs. I am also an emotional eater and it doesn't matter what I eat when I get emotional so I keep good foods/snacks in my house to eat during emotional times. Chips are my weakness so I don't even bring them into my house. Good luck on your journey. -

Way to go. You look fantastic! -
Hi rhfactor. I had the gastric sleeve but it took almost 3 months before my energy really got back to normal. Now I feel great and have lots of energy. I think the time frame may vary from person to person. It will definitely get better. Good luck on your journey.

3.5 months out and 89 pounds down
missbrown30 replied to chefkelly's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Your story is so inspirational. And you look awesome. Keep up the good work! -
Hi Hannah, I'm only 4.5 months out. I had a very difficult time eating in the beginning so I wasn't getting my recommended amounts of Protein and Water. I wasn't losing weight like I wanted because of this. I started supplementing with more high Protein shakes instead of regular food. Maybe you might do better if you drink your protein. I hope your situation changes soon. Good luck!
