Hi. I have just joined up. I am having gastric sleeve surgery in Brisbane Australia on May 21st. I am a New Zealander living on the beautiful.Gold Coast in Queensland. I have put on a lot of weight over the past ten years, but particularly in the last 5 years while taking Prednisone for Rheumatoid Arthritis which I have had for 25 years. Unfortunately it has become a vicious cycle of pain and being unable to exercise so gain weight and round and round it goes.
I am quite terrified of having the surgery but if I survive I am excited about the health benefits it will bring.
