Wow that is cheap! All up with 12 month follow up my sleeve is costing approx $22,000:00 I think it's worth it though. I had a friend who had to access her super and it took 3 weeks. There seem to be a few of us on the coast!

I had an awesome day. I hope you did too! Are you excited? I can't believe it's only 9 days. I'm so glad to have you going through it on the same day. Kind of makes it more exciting.

Protein Powders Drinks etc Aussies only
Ozikiwi replied to mini.mee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I haven't bought powders with protein in mind just meal replacement. I am on day 5 of my 14 day pre op diet. Rapid loss dairy free chocolate is delicious Iso whey berry is absolutely disgusting. The chocolate is only slightly better Iso whey vanilla is not too bad and the banana is the best. Having said that the banana still has that chemically aftertaste. What has really helped me stick with the shakes is the iso whey hot chocolate powder it doesn't have all the vitamins and minerals etc but does taste like a "normal" drink. I just have my veggies for dinner and don't have a shake. I have a hot choc instead later in the evening. My greatest concern, apart from the taste, is all the disgusting crap they have in them. -

I'm a bit nervous about the anaesthetic. My husband had pizza last night. It's not even a food I crave BUT it smelt delicious! So I know what you mean.

Ozikiwi replied to teemarie1078's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am amazed at how different the pre op diet seems to be from person to person. Mine is for 14 days. It is one meal replacement shake for breakfast 60 calories of fruit for morning tea Shake and 1 to 2 cups of non starchy veggies for lunch 60 cals of fruit and a diet jelly for afternoon tea Dinner is the same as lunch Supper is a diet jelly -
Any May 20th surgeries out there?
Ozikiwi replied to teemarie1078's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
May 21st is D day for me. I seem to go from being elated to terrified. I am 56 so I worry about the surgery. -
That's awesome! I live on the Coast but my surgeon operates at Wesley in Brissy. So I guess you must be on the 4th day of your presurgery regime too. How are you finding it?
