  1. Hello everyone, I would just like to say if you find this forum helpful it really is. I believe that while I was a part of the forum using another screen name I was constantly losing weight each week, and I was always motivated to keep up with other sleevers losing the weight. When the weight loss was going good, I dropped back thought I could just do what I want, and now I wish I could turn back the hands of time and get this weight back off. I have only gained back 20lbs but that’s a lot to have gained back in less than a year. I pray that I will be able to get back on the losing side of things. I have so many issues and hardships going on its kind of hard just to stay focused on losing the weight. I don’t regret getting sleeved and I have no one else to blame but myself but I need to really get a hold of what’s going on with me. There’s no point to my post I just wanted to rant a little bit about how I’m feeling about my weight gain. Good luck to everyone that is considering having the surgery it is worth it just make sure you stay on top of what your doctors and nuts tell you.

    Do not follow the leader

Well I have joined Planet Fitness today, and plan to start working out 3 days a week and staying on top of my food intake. I plan on weighing myself only once a week after I start working out so that I don't fall into the same disappointment of weighing myself everyday and seeing the scale go up. I know my life shouldn't be about numbers but lets face it bigger clothes cost more money than smaller ones. I have also noticed that when I buy food I still buy large portions even though it takes me all day to finish a meal. I want everyone to know that a few mistakes will happen along the way but just learn from others and you will not have to make the same mistakes the last person did. Making a mistake is not the end of the world but it sure makes you feel bad when you just seen the numbers go down then they go back up. Have a great weekend ,and thanks to everyone for your support.

    Do not follow the leader

Thank you everyone, I'm not into social scenes that much, but its nice to have a great place to come and just talk about the same issue we all have. Next week I'm getting myself a gym membership and I will start a 1 week pre op diet to get my weight loss started again. I know this is just going to be a struggle but I will get this problem nipped before,I really regret how much I have gained back. So many times and diets and etc, I have tried and I always end up back in the same place disappointed. With the help of the forum and my sleeve I should be able to get back on track. I know its not the end of the world but at your time of need the smallest of problems are the biggest of factors for us all. I have been praying and trying to maintain a positive outlook because eating myself through a bag of whatever is not going to help. Once again thank you to everyone that has left a kind word or even said a silent one that I could not read or see posted.
  4. Thank you for your kind words.
  5. Well I have decided to write about my post op journey. I had the sleeve back in July 2013 and its now May 2014, and I have regained 20lbs. The constant stress at home, work, and the fact I can’t afford to get a gym membership is really hurting my bulge. The pre op journey I was so motivated that I used to post on the forum under a different name but later, I had to let it go because I left Facebook alone and, I couldn’t find out how to make a stand alone account. I really don’t have any point to make I just want to remind those that are having the surgery that you must be prepared for the woes that life throws at you. I had the Gastric sleeve surgery done so I would be healthier not skinny but that wouldn’t hurt (lol). I know there are things I can do to jump start my weight loss and I have started by dropping a bad habit I have. I think since I’m ready to lose the bad habit the pounds should start falling off again. So please do remember that even when you can do not eat and drink at the same time, trust me you will just eat more than you know. Don’t get caught up with depression and let that be a reason you make yourself feel like a failure. My problems are not yours and I’m sure you probably share a similar fate if you have found yourself on the fantastic voyage of weight loss. I’m giving myself 6 months to make my goal weight and after that I will just not let the scales or the body image bother me so much. Thank you for reading and thoughts or comments please do post .
  6. Yes and yes, I have a bit of an additctive personailty that chooses to dibble and dabble in a drinking and and eating a lot. I feel bloated and hungry at the same time drives me nuts.... I'm working on seperating the two. I have done so good untill as of late to get on the wrong side.
  7. Thank you for the research you have done I will check it out, (:
  8. Thank you I will continue to fight the weight loss battle, I didn't have this life changing surgery for nothing. My life is just full of stressors and I think I just need the motivation to get back on the wagon.
  9. Thank you, for your encouraging words, and journey. I'm glad your at your goal weight (:
  10. Thank you everyone for the support. By finding this forum during my pre op was the reason why I choose to go ahead with my surgery. Some people have lost several pounds pretty fast. My body is the type either I gain really fast and loose really fast. I just have trouble maintaining my weight. It seems just like yesterday that I was getting ready for my surgery. Once again, thank you all for reading this.
  11. That is true we have to keep ourselves motivated through it all. It was such a rush to get everything done so I could get the surgery but,at times I feel like I'm just going to live an unhealthy lifestyle no matter what. I will keep my head up,and trying to make better choices. (:
  12. Well after only 8 months I have gained 20lbs back, and I'm trying to get myself back on track . I had my surgery on 07/30/2013 I got down to 228 and now I'm back up to 250. I started out weighing 316. Not looking so good for me.
