Good morning! SDU RN 12 yrs- sleeved July 2014 - down 100 lbs! Working out 3-4 times a week! Stalled multiple times! Need to lose another 40 lbs - weight loss has really slowed down last few months. Have to work out more and really watch intake as I feel like u can eat more now then in the beginning. Really have to work at getting h2o in while working. As You know too easy to get caught up with patient care. Good luck to you all- -

Good question - I was wondering the same thing also if there were any beginner yoga/Pilates DVDs that anyone recommends - I think at home excercise is probably the way to go at first -

Carissa - the nurse in me wants to know how you are feeling otherwise? Temp? Vomiting? Bowel movements? Are you still taking pain meds? Have you gotten your proteins/ water? I know I wasn't getting my water and I had headache and was very tired- my husband kept reminding me that's why I'm home RECOVERING - but new pain that Last longer than a few hours and doesn't Go away is something I would probably let The md know about -

Vets: how long till 'normal?"
chrisrn replied to I will what I want's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Good to hear! I was sleeved July 17 2014 and am still off work and was reading about people who are back at work after 1 -2 wks. I think everyday is better but I still have a little soreness at umbilical puncture site and need Tylenol hear and there. Feel like I have to work to get fluids/protein/vitamins all in throughout the day and not get behind. I started thinking maybe it's My age - 52 yrs old. ?? I wanted to be one of those that gets back on her feet quickly and I usually plow thru anything but this has slowed me down a bit?? -
Beautiful!

Wow -go girl ! what was that just over a week off-I haven't had any problems with stomach or milk.- my umbilicus puncture site is still sore and I'm having a hard time with so many meds/vitamin! Started adding soft last week - I have to really work at getting all protein and had headache a couple off days think that was not enough water- I feel like it's work just keeping up with it all and not getting behind- I work on step down unit and took four weeks off. I know once I hit The floor it will be harder to manage intake- I'm glad you'll be on light duty for a bit! -
I had my surgery on 21 July and today I had my first setback

It's normal - I was sleeved 7/16 and it just feels surreal! The planning and anticipation and here I am 13 days out down 15 lbs since surgery living the life of WLS - nothing has been too hard, maybe a little bit more pain then I anticipated but pain meds take care of it! Good Luck!

13 days postoperative doing good with Protein probably could get a bit More water but have pain to the right upper umbilical area- md said it's from stitch that He place in muscle and increasing in my moving. Had been off Narcotics and restarted at Night so I could sleep comfortably- anyone else have this kind of pain?

Vsg on 7/17/14 discharged next day, took pain meds about 5-6 days then took Tylenol as needed- started having slight burning to the side of umbilical puncture site (burning /stinging)-had follow up appt with md and he said sometimes when people get moving more they get that feeling and it's right where he put a stitch in muscle and not to worry. Just wondered if any of you had this problem. I was so happy to be off narcotics but took narcs again last night just to see if I could get ahead of pain a bit. -
