I had a 2 week liquid diet before my op. No food allowed. It was difficult but it has helped transition through my post op. I stayed overnight at the hospital and recommend doing so for at least one night. I didn't have a tremendous amount of pain in my stomach but the pain in my shoulder was horrible. It felt like a pinched nerve. I couldn't lay down or sit down for about a day without medication or a heating pad. It was the gas build up. I take my multivitamins everyday and it helps with my energy. Still can't get my full liquids or protein in daily but I am slowly increasing. I have bad acid reflux today but feel good for the most part.

Water Aerobics and water zumba

Zumba is a blast but it really has a lot to do with the instructor. Make sure you find a good one and just go for it. The more you get into it the more you lose and it's just plain fun. -
TWO weeks out .... Chime in my May buds!
ndelacru replied to Comeflywithme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started getting nauseous a couple of days ago. I think I need to reevaluate my morning routine to see if it helps. Other than that I'm doing pretty well. -
I am from northern Nevada. Just had mine on May 13th. Worked with Dr Cottom out of Salt Lake and he was wonderful.

No. I will probably call on Monday and ask them to. I am sure it will help.

Thank you both. I am feeling better today and a hot pad has helped. I will definitely watch the signs my body gives me. -
Shoulder Pain... Gas?
ndelacru replied to SteviePC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just had my sleeve on 5/13and the worst part of it all was the pain in my shoulder. I balled for hours. I was finally able to take a hot shower today and I put a heating pad on it for a couple of hours after that. It is feeling much better and I hope it goes completely away.
