Smart I am going to get some ramekins. Soon I will start cooking & make a recipe book. Some of the foods look very good. I still have 4 1/2 weeks before I can taste them. I will wait til I get closer to that stage. Nice that your husband eats what you eat. My husband loves to cook & he keeps thinking of different recipes he can make. I am glad my family is supportive except for my 18 year old son he is not on board which is expected. Ha

Had my first preop visit with my pcp today. Good news I am no longer taking any medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid & reflux, yeah! Right but why do I have no energy I am meeting my water & protein requirements taking my vitamins & b12. Starting my soft food had 1 oz cottage cheese for lunch. I am tolerating the foods well. No vomiting & nausea. Down 30 pounds from HW today. Am I missing something?

Thats good I am glad you have support. One thing I learned a long time ago is love doesnt hurt. I bet you will do better away from all the abuse. Plus you can show your daughter what not to put up with. I wish there was more I could do to help.

Im sorry men can be so dumb. When you have your new body he will only get to look & wish he supported you. My husband has been with me every step. The good thing about this surgery is you cant eat or it will make you very sick. I have realized since the surgery on how much my life revolved around food. We all have these food eating emotions & hope some day these emotions will pass or improve. The pain is really there I tried to come off them to early because they made me sleepy big mistake. You need to stay on top of it. If the pain catches up its so much harder to get under control. Do you have anyone at home to help you?

Hi I am doing good. Best advice keep walking, take your pain meds as needed, sip sip & sip to stay hydrated. Get your protein in it helps the healing process. I hope you are feeling ok. I was not hungry mostly in pain & worried about every little thing going wrong. You got this! It will get better.

Do you need to let your dentist know you've had rny?
LisaCO replied to brown eyed gal's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am also from a small town but word gets around no matter what you do. Before surgery I embraced it let most coworkers know & come to find out our human resource person already slipped to a coworker. I have decided to not be bitter but to embrace & be proud of myself. For your dentist question. I recently had GB surgery 8 hours away from my home on Oct 1st drove home 4 days later on a Sunday with a terrible tooth ache waited through the night went to the Dentist office first thing Monday morning sure enough my tooth was infected. I had my dentist consult directly with surgeon because of the medication/digestion issues. It is important to tell the appropriate people about your history to get the best care. If necessary talk to your dentist in private. -

After talking to my NUT this morning My local protein shake mix I drank before surgery suger content was to much for my body. I felt horrible yesterday the hot flash/chills was my body reacting. Today I drank isopure dutch chocolate (very good). I feel much better. Back on my journey & feeling hopeful.

LisaCO replied to LisaCO's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Thank you -
Ok I was starting to get worried. I just checked my temp its 97.0. I think my body is in shock. I have been taking short walks. I think I am going to try some drained soup maybe I need some thing more then protein & water.
