I too shopped there about 3 months post. I have always wanted to shop there and boy did i! It felt weird but so cool. The staff was awesome in helping me. Expensive but the best and most comfortable bras i have ever had and i went to underwire which i had never worn before! I also now wear colors! I always did either black or white. Now i do blues and pinks and lace and such. Its wonderful. -
My physician also says i can take whatever for pain. I take T3 but was given tramadol post surgery. He said any pain killer would he fine. I also didnt have to fast or do liquid prior. I did a high Protein diet 2 wks prior with products they ask us to use called Healthwise. It was wonderful. Ate 6 times a day and only about 7-800 cal per day but was never hungry and got me off the garbage and accustomed to good foods. From MI btw

Acampbell- not sure if this will help but have u tried looking back at what youve been eating? How about ur workouts. Maybe change them up a little. Howany cal r u eating a day. Try raising or lowering depending on how much ur eating. When i hit a stall for almost 4 wks i was told to up my cal intake. Apparently i was starving my body cuz i work out so hard. I did and witholin 3-4 days i was losing again. They say about every 6 wks ur body adjusts to what ur doing so we should change things up on our diet and exercise to keep ur body guessing amd losing. Good luck to u

Question about amount of weight loss
kimba6999 replied to Joe David's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Now that u can workout your loss should be better. Get to the gym or make a good routine of cardio and strength for home if thats what u prefer. The weight will come off as long as you follow the rules and change your eating habits and have a good support system. This is definitely not something to go at all alone. I have lost 127lbs at just 8 months out and only have 49lbs to hit my personal goal and 100% of my starting weight. I know i will do it. You can do this. Just eat right and get in your activity. Do what is best for you to get the best results. We are all here for you to back you up and answer questions if we can. Good luck to you and hope to hear updates soon. -
The Two Week Milk Diet
kimba6999 replied to luckyknickers57's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am pleased too. Sorry to hear you struggle to enjoy food again. I hope you can move past that soon. I figured out that i was eating too few calories with my workouts. Had to up my calories from 8-900 to 1200 and boom i started dropping lbs again. Was funny to imagine that eating more was the key since i have always tried to eat less...lol. My current weight is 229. Getting closer to wonderland amd cant wait!! Took my younger kids roller skating for the first ever woth them and it was wonderful. I used to skate all the time when i was younger amd it was like i had never took a break. Got to teach my 12 yr old and it was so exciting amd wonderful. I could never had had that privilege without this surgery. I am so greatful! Keep moving forward and keep us updated. Hope the burping gets better soon. Has the doc said anything about it or why so much? I do but only when im full. My bodies way of telling me no more. -

The Two Week Milk Diet
kimba6999 replied to luckyknickers57's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Luckynickers: so exciting to hear that it is over. Unfortunately it will probly happen again. I am 7 months and just went thru a third stall but got through it. If u are exercising then its just ur body converting. Ur burning fat but building muscle so u will lose inches but muscles weighs more than fat so it just looks like ur not losing even though you are. Obviously you are cuz your pant sizes are dropping. It happens to us all. My first was at 6wks for 2 wks but i was dropping sizes. I was also working out like a mad woman, lol. So keep your chin up and just know this was a great step for you and your future. Keep up the good work!! -
7/28 -- cw - 239 Getting there! Did my first 5K this last weekend. Never thought I'd ever do something like this! Cant wait to do it again at the end.of august. Happy weighing to the rest of you and good luck this week!!

Question about amount of weight loss
kimba6999 replied to Joe David's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 7 months post and have lost 33% of my body. I am down 117lbs and started at 356. I have 59lbs left to reach my goal. Each person is different and body type and mass is different. I am only looking to lose 50% of me and i will be happy. It realoy does work and like others have said, it takes a lot of work and deication to do this. Its not by far the easiest process but so worth the process. Good luck to you. -
I love my fitness pal. I track religiously. I eat so many things so regularly that i pretty much know ky daily intake but i track. It keeps my honest. I do my exercise on there too. Since i have tracked i see where i am doing good and when i stall i can look back to see where i may be going wrong whether with my food or exercise. I was in a 4 wk stall and hadnt it been for my tracking i wouldnt have known it was from eatting too few calories. I was only taking in 800-900 daily 6 months post. I raised to 1200 per my NUT and within days i started losing again! Just with my exercise reginmen and activity i was starting to hoard fat cuz i was taking in too little for so much activity. I love the site. If anyone wants to pal up my handle is kimba6988. Good luck to all.

Miserable..3 weeks post op..Messing up! HELP!
kimba6999 replied to jewelski's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
To go with that, i have read a few peoples stories on here that had it done in mexico and never really had it removed either. If you can tolerate all that food without having any issues or feeling full u should make an appointment to see ur family doctor and have them check. Most if not all of us on here agree that to eat that kind of food this early post op should be noticable to your body and you. Honestly too, this is jot only a physical change we go thrpugh but a mental change as well. We need to rewire our brains. If you havent considered some sort of therapy, i would suggeat you do. Wether it be by a therapist or a bariatric support group. I did therapy for the first 3 months after surgery and now i go to a bi-monthly support group for bariatric patients. Its encouraging and helps with those struggles. Everybody is there to support each other and give and get good suggestions on how to deal. I think and feel this should be your second step. We know how hard it can be to change bad habits so the first thing is to get rid of any foods that trigger for you. Only keep foods in your home that are healthy amd protein packed. If you have a family please explain to them what you need to do and ask them for help. My kids are behind me 100% and they are my food and exercise monitors. I also keep a before picture in my house, my bedroom and in my car to remind me what bad eatting does for me. I take a new one every 6 weeks to watch my progress, to remind me to never go back there again. I am now 7 months post and have lost 117lbs. At 6 months i started incorporating some things i liked that werent so healthy but now i am in control of my life so i can have a piece or bite and stop and be happy. It is possible to give up bad habits but we all need help. We ate all here for you and worried for you. Please take my advice and clean out ur cupboards and help ur mind. It will works. There are thousands here that are living proof. Wish you all the best and keep us posted. If you just need to unload I'd be happy to listen just message me. Good luck!! -
Glad to hear you reread your info. We need to stay away from sugars! Yogurt id good for you but stick to greeo yogurts. High in protein which will help to keep u feeling fuller. Yoplait greeo 100's or the light and fit greek is good too. Just watch which you choose for sugar content. Also the plain nonfat greek is good too if you like it. Good to substitute for sour cream or add fressh fruit for the natural sugar sweetener. I also ise it when making my own protein shakes. I do half cup frozen berries, about 3 oz of skim milk, half cup of greek nonfat plain yogurt and a scoop of vanilla or plain whey protein isolate and half a banana. Its good for 2 servings and about 300-350 in cal depending on ur fruit and protein u use. Just stick with foods high in.protein amd low in fat and the less sugar the better. Try to stay away from premade or boxed anything. The more natural the better and the lbs will start to melt away. Dont forget to exercise religuosly too. I am just 7 months and am now down 117lbs so it works. Good luck to you and congrats on your journey.

So awesome to hear sarahjane. Way to go and congrats. Its amazing when u can wear all the good stuff. I am now into an xl and cant wait! Keep up the good work! And for lorilynn, i totally agree with sarahjane about the staying motivated. It hasnt gotten hard for me either. Just knowing what i was and am becoming is enough for me. I too will have a little cheat every now and then because i wont deprive myself. I was real careful the first 5 months. Once my 6th arrived i made myself a deal to have a little something if i wanted but the key is just a little. Need that will power. I keep my before pic on my phone, taped in my car and by the fridge just so i remember what I was. I love the new me and thats all the motivation i need. If u truly change ur lifestyle amd ur mindset, it is a part of your life and easy to do. Good luck and know we are all always here if u need a jump or push. Keep up tye good work and hope to hear ur progress. -

My name is Kim but my friends cLl me Kimba. I am so happy for you and whats to come in your near future. I remeber when i lost my first 30 or so. It felt so freeing amd fantastic! I was feeling better and my energy was so much better. My attitude brightened Nd i felt like I was going to have a great life ahead. It feels like lifetime ago already and has only been 7 months. I guess cuz its my life now. Just feels so normal and right! Im excited to do my first 5K. Never in a million yrs did i ever think i would be here. I have been real blessed through this process. I follow my plan and exercise and the lbs just melt off. I have had a couple of plateaus here and there but a little change up and it moves again. If u dont mind ke asking, what was ur pre-op weight? Some people dont like to talk about it but im proud to say it. Cuz it shows how far i've come. If i didnt say it, i started at 356. I lost 23 lbs on my 2 wk preop but i didnt do liquid. I was with dr foote and we were on a high protein diet with their health wise foods. I ate 6 times a day for about 800 cal a day. It was wonderful. He is a leading dr in the sleeve. He has done some ground breaking techniques. The bariatric team is absolutely wonderful and supportive and are always there at any time i may have questions or need help. Hope to hear back soon.
