Dr. Atkins, pioneer of the ketogenic diet
Healthy_life2 replied to Creekimp13's topic in Rants & Raves
Oh please start the thread and let the fun begin. -
*laughing* All I can do is lift with my hand and tuck the girls in a bra cup. It's not the brand name for me it's all about the fit and support. No need for the girls to hang to my belly button.

Dr. Atkins, pioneer of the ketogenic diet
Healthy_life2 replied to Creekimp13's topic in Rants & Raves
I'm cranky pant today. Three year old and no sleep...lol I'm not shocked that his family wanted to keep this quiet. It's the American way. All about profit. What's healthy today may change next week. Example - My dietician was all about the benefits of coconut oil to cook with. Now she says it's proven unhealthy and change over to avocado oil. I Remember when the big news was red M&M's cause cancer..lol I was doing the Atkins diet diet back in the day when it was popular. Oh my god, Eating hamburger patties with salsa, Hard boiled eggs and only green veggies until I was over stuffed. I did lose weight..But I could not sustain the diet. My soap box....The media and advertisement pumps us full of we are not good enough so buy this product. Marketing campaigns are prue manipulation. There are so many dishonest diets, pills and exercise equipment that promise rapid weight loss? People are willing to try anything. I hate to admit I tried lipozene. What a fricken scam. -
I can relate. I can't quite find what works for the boob and side situation. I laugh because I found one bra that gave too much support the girls were lifted like a shelf to my chin. Others just gave more side issues. What I've found so far that works for me. Daisy fuentes full figure. I go up a size in band helps the side situation. The cups give s great shape. Larger straps on the shoulders. Four claps and larger back band. Thanks to @jess9395 for the suggestion. Victoria secret-VSX-Knockout sports bra. Zip front and clasp.. Separates lifts and keeps the girls held tight for exercise..lol

Sounds like soft food stage. I'm sure you are happy to progress into more substantial food. I hope it helps with your hunger. Congrats on your surgery. -

Many of us have tried multiple types of diets that did not work or could not maintain long term. Enjoy your research. There is so much information out there. -

What am I doing wrong?
Healthy_life2 replied to charismatic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've heard good things about bariastic. I'm old school I like MFP. It also does the pie chart, scans barcodes to add food, totals your exercise, has recipes, support forums and social media - Exercise log, tips and videos - challenges that you can win money for logging consistently. When you hit completed for the day. It says if every day was like today you would weigh...(gives you the number) I like that for motivation... -
He was less than professional. All he needed to say was let's get you back on track. I'm sorry your feeling hurt. I don't do any follow ups with my bariatric program. I get my check up and blood work up from my family doctor. The great thing is your not on your own. You can contact another bariatric program out of your area. The dietician can mail or email you the food plan instructions. Many people here on bariatric pal are willing to share their diet instructions for you to use. None of us are perfect. Many of us have had weight gain. Getting back on track can be done. You have our support.

Is There Such Thing as Sugar-free applesauce?
Healthy_life2 replied to LyricSoul's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When in doubt contact your dietician. 1 medium apple - sugars 19 carbs 25. Even if you made it on your own. Apples have sugars and carbs. Feel free to ignore the following is it does not apply to your program or food stage. I used dannon light n fit greek yogurt. 7 sugars 9 carbs with the added bonus of 12 grams protein. -
Did anyone feel hungry after surgery?
Healthy_life2 replied to GeorgieDean's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So you are not getting in any protein? Three weeks of no protein after surgery? Can I ask where you had your surgery done? Sorry I'm just a bit surprised. Never heard of this before. -

Does your food log calculate your protein carbs and fats for the day? I use myfitnesspal. I'm not familiar with your app. -

The dreaded stall. It's normal to have plateaus and stalls. Hit your protein goal, hydrate and activity/exercise. There is no magic in breaking a stall. It just takes time. You will lose weight. Keep working your surgeons and dieticians instructions. Read embrace the stall below. https://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/351046-embrace-the-stall/#comment-3952027 -
Did anyone feel hungry after surgery?
Healthy_life2 replied to GeorgieDean's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there. You will feel more satisfied as your diet progresses to real food. The first stages are rough. Yes, I felt hungry. Your stomach is not too big.....it's because you are on liquids and people are eating in front of you. This surgery is going to work for you. Trust the process. -
Your stats say surgery in 2014. Is that correct?
