    Fiber

MFP - pre sets it. My fiber is at 25grams. Bariatistic is another option for a food log. Are you doing a log by hand or Not logging?
  2. You can talk with us anytime for support. This is a big adjustment. All you described is normal. You also have some hormones release as you lose weight. Expect to feel emotional for a while. We all lose at different rates. Concentrate on the fact you are losing weight not the rate. You are not failing at this. Trust the process. The goal is healthy. First stages of foods are not fun. Many of us have hunger at this point. You will feel a better sensation of full as your diet progresses. It’s easier to be social around food at real food stage. Have realistic expectations. Give yourself time to heal. Your B Day is Wednesday! Wow this is a perfect time to celebrate the start of weight loss. Think about where your weight will be on your next birthday/ first year sleeve anniversary. Here is my B day gift – It’s a virtual weight loss simulator. (not 100% accurate) https://modelmydiet.com/ https://modelmydiet.com/ plan your next birthday, how do you want to celebrate it? On Wednesday, Search online and pinterest a hot dress and party ideas.

    Fiber

I log in myfitness pal. it sets a goal to hit. I'm not sure what too much is..
  4. I am talking about bariatric instructed diets. I have yet to see anyone placed on the carnivore diet , all carbohydrate diet, or zero carbs allowed diet. All diet instructions are different. Some think low carb dieters demonize carbs. (not true)- We all have different carb goals to hit. No one’s diet is better than the other – Simply follow your own plan. The original poster is 2.5 weeks out from surgery. They had no diet progression or plan instructions. The simple question of fruit is follow your plan, - Keep them within your weight loss calories and protein, carb goals,. +++If anyone has sleeve diet progession and diet instructions could you post them for the original poster?+++

When will I start feeling full?!?

I was hungry on the first food stages. It was hard to see people eat real food or watch food commercials. It will get better as you progress on to other food stages. Hang in there.
  10. Of course, I am fueling for glycogen to carry me through the run. Most people don’t gain a pound a day is the difference. You seem to find it hard to believe that a type one diabetic could be carb sensitive. I will give your professional opinion to my running coach and my endocrinologist
  11. No one is demonizing carbs. There is no such thing as NO carb diet. Low carb is instructed by many surgeons/dieticians. All plans are different. I am carb sensitive. I am a type one diabetic. My body does not process carbs or sugar correctly. I keep my carbs in the range where I lose/maintain my weight. I distance run. I carb load for seven days pre-race. It’s instant weight gain. I go back to weight loss mode to work it off.
  12. Go to the search box at the top left. Type in sleeve instructions. It will pull up
  13. Be gentle with yourself. You just had surgery and are healing, Chew, Eat slow stop at your signal of full. Concentrate on getting your protein goal in. Your surgery restriction will become a bit less over time. Learn your plan and the basics. Hang in there.
  14. -To make this less confusing – I would suggest using the SLEEVE diet instructions I linked for clarification of what you CAN eat and what to avoid. There are too many variations of plans and people posting that have a different type of surgery. Keep us posted on how you are doing. You got this. Many good things coming your way.
  15. Using my fitnesspal food log app. High in carbs and sugar no protein value Carbs = 32 Protein = 2 Sugars = 28
  16. Here is a link for diet instructions. Relying on surgery restriction alone won’t keep you successful long term. https://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/422271-sleeve-surgery-instructions/?tab=comments#comment-4736323 Down load a food app - Myfitness pal or baritastic. Youtube vidieos on how to use it, You will need to know if you are hitting your weight loss calories, the amount of carbs fats and sugars you are eatting each day. Food app downloads https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baritastic.view&hl=en_US https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myfitnesspal.android
  17. 2.5 weeks what food progression are you on? Are you hitting your 60-80 grams of protein per day? Is fruit salad on your plan? If is,, How many ounces are allowed? Should you make a full meal out of fruit salad when it has no protein count???

    Doubts about sleeve option

I’m five years out with the sleeve. I’m maintaining in the 130’s. I bounced back from surgery and had no complications. For me it was a great choice. This site is mainly people researching, are new and in weight loss phase, had weight gain or complications. Understand that many people that are maintaining no longer need support on this site. Read this link to see the positive stories to give you a balanced look at outcomes. https://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/423992-what-you-had-no-surgery-complications/?tab=comments#comment-4758950 For newbies We are not ALL doomed to regain. There is no way for me to avoid offending the people on this site that have had regain. What I am saying is not judging them. Have compassion. There are reasons why people regain (medical issues, complications, eating disorders, pregnancy and not following plan. - Anyone who has stretched their surgery needs it diagnosed and therapy to control overeating. I would hate to see anyone stretch a second surgery. If they need a restart, I hope the second one works for them. Bottom line, the only reason any of us gain weight is eating over calories and macros.

    eating whole wheat bread

If whole wheat breads are on your plan. The only way to eat "too much" is if you go over your calories and carbs for the day.

    eating whole wheat bread

What is your dietitian’s carb and protein goals per day? Are you logging it in a food app to know how many carbs you eat in a day?

    Post 4/17/19

Call your surgeons office to see if there is a medical reason that you can’t get fluids in and don’t feel surgery restriction. If food addiction is taking over seek counseling/therapy.
