Needing more protein 6 months out to help with maintence and hair loss
Healthy_life2 replied to 2Bsmaller18's topic in Food and Nutrition
Congrats on all your hard work. The hair loss should stop with time. You will continue to lose weight consuming 800 calories. Have you contacted your dietician for your maintenance food plan? You will be adding carbs to slow/stop weight loss. Here is a link to the maintenance thread. https://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/425802-the-maintenance-thread/ You’re not alone in struggling to increase calories. Your surgery restriction will become less over time. The transition is not easy. Many of us got to goal quickly. You will have to graze your calories to get them in. Who knew it would be a chore to eat, Right??? *laughing* At 5’2” normal BMI range is 102lbs to 136lbs It gives you wiggle room to find a weight you want to maintain at. The goal is healthy. What ever that looks like for you. -
1. Personal goal 5 pounds 2. Sleeve - losing my maintaining bounce weight (10 pounds up) 3. Weight 140 BMI 23 4. Fun fact about yourself: Two years and never talked to my secret gym crush. I get to admire from afar...*sigh* Cardio and 45 min strength training - Glute day.

Glad to see you back after five years. You are not alone. Many have experienced regain years out. Several are back on the site for support. Counseling and self help resources are a great place to start to find your willpower. Time to deal with emotional stress eating. doing the head work link below. Some things from my weight gain experience to try. (What works for me may not work for you) Clear out your home of temptation- go shopping for foods on your real food plan Extra carbs and real sugar cause cravings and hunger – Detox off them Satisfy sweet and salty cravings with healthy options: Example -Sweet: dannon light n fit yogurt – Salty: Jerky Hydrate and exercise/activity I’m a sleeve, I have less surgery restriction years out. Eat veggies with all the other item on your plan until full. The bulk and fiber will help fill the extra space, They keep your calories low and help with hunger. Log your food (myfitnesspal) the key is to stay within your weight loss calories and macros.(protein and carb goals) Start at 1200 calories. You can dial the numbers up or down to see where your body loses weight. People will mention Pouch reset. ( Its going back to liquids phase and progressing to real food stage) It does not shrink your pouch. Decide if this is too food restrictive. You can always start real food to reset. Years out, Find a diet that is sustainable for you long term – Vegan, paleo, intermittent fasting, whole 30, keto the list goes on. Whatever diet you chose. Bravo for turning your passion for nutrition and fitness into a career. People that never had surgery build up their fitness level, become athletes, trainers, and it’s not an issue. Your workout sounds normal to me. Over doing it does not sound like your situation. You have been working with your trainer and know what you’re doing, Mixing up cardio, muscle groups, two rest days. You are injury free. Why do bariatric patients get judged if they decide to get fit or into sports??? Exercising too much would be - repeat injuries, malnourished, mentally unstable, no rest days, working out while ill or injured., not making time for other areas in your life.

*laughing* We have been the same weight for quite a while now. Yep, our print outs are the same. Thanks for the compliment. Oh girl, my booty, tummy and boobs are issues. My butt is a melting pancake that ripples down the back of my thighs. Things look so much better with spanks, a good bra and clothing. After seeing @BlueCrush plastics and reading some of the threads. Humm I thinking about doing it.

I have gained 10lbs in a year and im worried I cant get rid of it and ill gain more!

Many people years out do different types of diets, Vegan, paleo, whole 30, bariatric real food stage, intermittent fasting…The list goes on. Find a way of eating that is long term sustainable for you. Whatever diet you choose, log your food, stay within your weight loss calories and macros. You got this. -
You are already in your optimal weight range. Losing weight would add no benefit to your health. Nutrition Think over your diet. Eat a variety of foods that you like, optimally including five servings of fruit and/or vegetables a day. Avoid eating too sweet, too fat and too much. Your current low-carb diet Your weight is below average: Do you really need this diet? Low-carb diets may help to reduce body weight and improve blood sugar an lipid levels. However, in contrast to a Mediterranean diet, low-carb diets are much less sustainable. Moreover, they likely increase disease and mortality risk, despite short term improvement of some risk factors. If you want to stop dieting, do it step by step. Good information @FluffyChix @Cheeseburgh

What shakes are good?
Healthy_life2 replied to Cherylmilla's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The good news is you won’t be dependent on shakes lifelong. Once you can hit your protein goal with real foods you can ditch them. I liked creating my own flavors to vanilla shakes - Latte/ mocha - Vanilla shake with instant coffee and sugar free heresy syrup Pumpkin spice – Canned Pureed pumpkin – pumpkin pie spice I got sick of the texture of shakes – Natures best zero carb protein drink. Many flavors – They are like a sports drink. 40 grams of protein and hydration all in one. -
You always look so well put together.
