Premature Wardrobe Cleanout
Healthy_life2 replied to Smashelle's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, to be honest I did a pre clean. I had a lot of clothing. I got it down to the essentials now. Less to wash and care for. I can walk in my closet and easily find an outfit to wear. It felt good to do it. -

What's in your music play list?
Healthy_life2 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, I love my you tube play lists. Anyone have any music that inspires you? motivates you for exercise? calms you after surgery? I'm open to all types of music. I will have my cell phone with me after surgery. I figure It might help to cover the noises of the hospital to just have my head phones on at night. I use you tube. so please feel free to post a link so I can hear what others are listening to. -
boccob81, Just hours to go for you. wishing you the best!

Healthy_life2 replied to komi31's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Research get's addicting pre op, I went to my pre op class and a lot of the other sleever's were so young. Go them! Obesity is a disease. It dose progress. You might not have health issues now. But what about in the long term? Yes, its a serious choice. I would not tell anyone what they should or should not do. Dig in and enjoy your research! wishing you the best! Jenn -

Pre-Op Appointment Tomorrow!
Healthy_life2 replied to ^Lolly^'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thats great to hear! We will be sleeved before you know it. See you soon on the other side. -
You probably already know your body needs protein to build muscle. When you don't get enough protein, your body will start breaking down muscle to get what it needs. Your organs and bones are also at risk. You may also suffer from compromised immune function if you don't get enough protein, and you may feel easily fatigued without the energy to carry out your daily activities and exercise. Greater risk of exercise-related injury is also associated with protein deficiency, as is slow wound healing. If your goal is weight loss, don't skimp on protein; compared to fat and carbohydrate, protein is the most satiating of the macronutrients, meaning it will help fill you up and keep you feeling full so you avoid overeating and food cravings.

Only doing pre-op the day before surgery
Healthy_life2 replied to wablue31's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have my sleeve surgery on June 2nd. I'm set up the same as you. a liquid diet one day before surgery. Even allows for 7up with sugar. I'm a diabetic I avoid soda lol. Well I know its there if I have low blood sugar. I guess we have to consider ourselves lucky. the anticipation is incredible right? Here's to a healthy and speedy recovery, Jenn
