Hi there, I was sleeved June 2nd. My weight loss is slow but steady. I'm using fitness pal and realized I needed to up my Protein. Hope it will help me out in my second month. (come on onderland) HW 254 SW 234 CW 215 -
I have my fitness pall set to: carbohydrates 20 protein 60 fats 20. My calorie intake is set to 700. I'm getting in about 500 to 600 calories a day. I hope I'm on the right track. I see the nutritionist in august.

I can't even imagine hitting that goal. Right on!

I think this might be my first NSV---->Had a block party with all my neighbors. food all around and I brought a shrimp salad (yum) I had about a fourth of a cup and had my Water bottle with me. One of my neighbors told me don't be shy. GET IN AND EAT..I had to laugh, I've never had people try to force food on me before. They were eating burgers, hot dogs ,deserts and alcohol. I was not even tempted to go there. Throughout the night I got positive comments. What a journey!

Welcome to the wls Journey, For me its all a trade off. I can live without Water for 30 mins before a meal. I'm sipping water all day. I don't feel deprived. I'm sorry your feeling "buyers remorse" right now. I hope down the road is a new day and you can see what a positive choice you have made. I'd take 30 mins without water compared to being overweight and feeling miserable any day. Here's to a new you! Jenn

Healthy_life2 replied to mamaofmatthew's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Worked in a correction facility for 15years as well, I went to work with a cast on my leg. The staff were great. The made a few changes for me...Don't be afraid to ask if you need more time or if you need something worked out to fit your needs. Best of luck to you -
Hi LadyC, We have the same surgery date. I'm sorry your feeling down. I was too earlier..when I stood on my home scale and it was not moving. I went to a Dr.s Appointment I stood on their scale and I'm down 10 pounds (my home scale is a lair!) From that I have learned to stay away from the scale... You have not gained. Way to go! Jenn

Post Op June 2014 Sleevers
Healthy_life2 replied to KimGettingSlim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey all, Surgery went well. Pain was tolerable and managed. I walked every hour 3 laps of the hospital. The staff were really positive. My Dr. released me yesterday. He said all you have to worry about the next 2 weeks is walk. ,get my Protein in , Hydrate and he even told me to add a little cottage cheese into my diet. No problems getting my fluids and protein down. The sleeve lets me know when I'm getting full and I set things down until I can sip again. I'm off my cholesterol medication I'm taking so much less of my insulin Glad to be back home! Jenn -

3 month post-op bloodwork results!

As a newbie myself have I made post that I regret? I'd have to say yes! I'm a bit over exited about all of this. It's still so fresh and new. I took a snap from a senior member I just took it as a teachable moment. am I perfect? Is anyone on here perfect? I just don't take a negative post to heart. Reality for me?..... This is just another forum. you take the good with the bad. Choose the post that help you the most. I surround myself with the positive and let the negative go. Have you ever been to a forum that was drama free? I'm finding there are a few that have forgotten what its like to be a newbie and that's ok. There are people that are supportive as well. So with that off my chest, I'm off tomorrow for surgery, everyday is a clean slate. moving on, Jenn -

Healthy_life2 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Question for type one diabetic sleeve. How did you do on the pre op diet? I'm having lows even now before I get to the liquid diet. trying to control it with sf apple sauce and healthier choices other than real sugar. ( I don't want dumping syndrome) Am I over thinking all this out of nerves? thanks again,Jenn1 -

Healthy_life2 replied to Healthy_life2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pre op and what a change.....Who knew? I step on the scale and it keeps moving down! I'm no longer Morbidly Obese...I'm now just Obese. My a1c is 6.7 I've adjusted my Insulin to once a day....... from 5 times a day. The insulin adjustment has helped so much. I don't get panicked when my blood sugar drops. I feel less hunger pangs. Just feeling so thankful! Jenn -
