Body Shapers ( Spanx)
Healthy_life2 replied to Homecie's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I like the body spanx that are one piece and drop below your bust line. I like to wear my own bra. I don't think I can afford plastics. So this has been a good option to hold the loose skin. The only people to see me O natural are me the hubby and the occasional Dr. -
The staff at the hospital had me walking laps around the surgery floor the day after surgery. I think it helped me to bounce back and heal. After I was home small walks until I felt better. Start slow and build your exercise up as you progress. Best of luck to you, Jenn

Healthy_life2 replied to athena3127's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Fantastic find. Thanks for sharing. Can't believe its less than $6. I found my lap top lunch box online. Its similar to a Asian bento box. Small portions and easy meals on the go. http://www.laptoplunches.com/ -

Do's and Dont's
Healthy_life2 replied to Pr33ty Heard's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Pr33ty Heard Protein, protein and protein Lean meats and veggies. Try to stay away from carbs. (No breads, rice and pasta). Drink a lot of water/crystal light. If you don't mind me asking...Why do you have less than a month to loose 15 to 20 pounds? -
@@Rubygirl Like you and most of us here. I have failed at every diet. You're sleeve is an amazing tool. The change is not just a surgical procedure. A lot of it is mental/behavior change. Following the program: For me I could never maintain all the diet plans that I have tried. My sleeve has made a big difference. This is NOT another diet. Being scared of failing is not necessarily a bad thing. Use it to keep your mind on task. Only you can make the changes to get the results you want out of this. I hope you find what inspires and motivates you to success. The pain is temporary...the results are amazing! Jenn

NSV in my 6th month.. Went to an appointment today. The receptionist has not seen me since I had surgery. (105 pounds ago) She was flat out shocked. She asked me if I stopped eating. I disclosed that I had sleeve surgery. She told me that I had better results than people she had seen on the biggest looser. Funny...she said I looked hot and grabbed my thigh..Humm how the hell do I take that. I have a hard time seeing what other people see when they look at me. I'm always taken back by responses that I get from people that knew me as morbidly obese. What a hilarious day

beautiful lady. Congratulations on you're one year anniversary. After accomplishing so much in 2014 what do you have planned for the new year? -
I did not have back issues before surgery. I find myself twisting to pop my back into place. I plan on finding a chiropractor to work my back into alignment. I agree it is due to the weight loss.

@@geelynn Thanks, I do my best to follow the people that have been successful. Last months news letter from my surgeons office said you can loose hair up to 6 months after it starts.

This is normal. Most of us struggled to get Protein and Water in at first. It will get better. It takes time to figure out what you can tolerate with you're new sleeve. Be patient with yourself.

Do you enjoy cooking still?
Healthy_life2 replied to kajunqty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm taking bariatric cooking classes. I love to try new recipes and new foods. I cook for the family and they have learned to eat healthy or cook themselves. If I make turkey chilly ..I will bake corn bread for them. If I make fajitas ..they have tortillas and I don't. We eat sugar free deserts. In no way are they deprived. -
