    HELP!

@@emk101009 Just some things to try: I keep veggies and dip on hand. dips I like pizza sauce or ranch. My hunger kicks in when I cook. The veggies seem to fill me up until meal time. Are there certain things you are craving? Salty or sweet? Keep small snack packs of you're healthy craving items. Sweet sugar free pudding .Salty I do a athens mini filo shell filled with turkey broccoli and white cheddar.

    Clock ticking on making goal?

@@JamieLogical It may be hard. I would not worry. This is not easy and YES the farther out from surgery weight loss will slow down. Continue to work you're program. This will be a life long process even after goal. This is you're new life style and soooo worth it. Time frames do not matter. A healthy you does!

Do family/friends honor your bariatric dietary needs?

My immediate family have taken the time to learn with me about what foods needed for bariatrics. The rest of my friends and family try but fail with foods. I'm also a type one diabetic. Sometimes I still see the wrong foods presented for my situation. Part of this is the lack of knowledge on Bariatrics. People still see this as we are dieting or just can only eat a small amount.

    Scared husband

@@heav85 My husband told me it feels threatening to have you're partner go though a physical transformation. It does make him insecure and question's if he is enough. i understand and I'm doing what I can to make him feel better about the situation. BUT....It still bothers me that there is so much importance put on you're appearance when you are thin. Is it me or is it insulting that significant other's think now that we are smaller we might have an affair. I guess larger people never have affair's? (WTF) It's only weight loss. I still have the same love for my husband. I'm just in a smaller package.
  12. @@artblitz I get full and satisfied with my sleeve. If I eat to much it let's me know. I have replaced my emotional/stress eating with hitting the gym. I do my best problem solving and stress relief working out. Better than pizza and Cookies could ever do.

    Relationships

@@Bonawanabfree With the confidence boost, attention from the opposite sex and my drive to get out and live life. My husband has had some insecurity along the way. I reassure him all the time that we have a solid relationship. I would take a bullet for him and the attention from the opposite sex is superficial. I have a amazing relationship. I don't take him for granted. I have no need to involve myself with anyone else. I try to get him involved with the things I'm participating in. Races , walking Kayaking etc. We make time to go out on dates. We have gone to Victoria's secret and picked out item's together. *blushing* All of these things has made our relationship even better.
  14. I show my love for friends and family every day. The holiday reminds me never to take people or love for granted. My husbands gift to me. He had my wedding ring set sized down. I can wear them again since my weight loss. We are now making plans to renew our vow's.

    Gym ?

@@AJP1243 This is what I do..I'm no expert. I started by walking for 30 mins a day. I am now doing Cardio one hour 5 days a week. Adding weight training 3 day's a week for an hour. Cardio: Start at resistance on the machines that you are comfortable with. bump the resistance up every week. Mix you're cardio routine up on different machines everyday. Elliptical: works the lower and upper body. Burns lots of calories. easy on joints. Bike: Not much instruction needed. Treadmill: ( Still my favorite) I started walking 30 mins. Next was jog/walk for an hour. to now jogging an hour. Ask you're gym staff for help using any of the machines at the gym. (That is what they are there for) Try them all out you never know which ones you like and work for you. Weight lifting: Warm up with cardio at least 20 mins before When I started I had no clue what I was doing. I lifted a half hour 6 days a week. (Do NOT do that) I get four free sessions with a trainer each year at my gym. You have to give you're body time to rest and heal between lifting. His suggestion was 3 days a week. I am doing an all body lifting routine. Start at a weight you are comfortable with and increase when you feel comfortable to lift more Chest press Squats holding a kettle bell or hand weights Back and chest pull downs Leg lifts Crunch ab machine Rotating core machine Yoga ball crunches Yoga ball glute press Curls Triceps kick backs After my workout I stretch

    Need support!

@@portuguesegal10 We have no control over peoples reactions. You always hope they can put their own feelings aside and be supportive. Some just can't. In this process I have learned a few things. I would rather build people up than tear them down. I have had to distance people that cant be supportive and positive in my life. My hope is his mind will ease after all the positive things that will happen in you're life with the bariatric process.
