What are your other addictions/ obsessions?

I cant seem to let go of a project until its finished. Right now I'm painting and redecorating my bedroom. Its on my mind constantly. After its completed I'm on to another project. I'm driving my husband crazy, He has drawn a line when I tried to organize and paint his garage. Sex (with my hubby) My hormones are like a teenager. God help him. Clothing and all things girly. Moving and being physically active. Snowshoeing, Hiking,Chasing my grandson, Mountain biking, Distance running and kayaking. Anything outdoors. Replaced my bad behaviors with some healthy ones.

Nice information. Thanks for posting it. Use whatever motivates and inspires you...Even if it seems a bit out of the norm. @@KindaFamiliar I have used the gym crush method : I pick a guy that has a fantastic fitness level (attractiveness is a perk) On the days I feel like not going. I picture him and go. Rule NO 1. Thou shall NEVER talk to your gym crush. ( it ruins what you have built them up to be in your mind (unless your single talk to them) Rule No 2 If you talk to your gym crush you must look for a new one. It may be a bit wrong ..But what ever keeps me motivated

    Map My Run App

It seems to still have some bug's. It tracks my long runs well. I use it so my husband know where I am when I run alone. Love that it puts my information automatically into myfitness pal. I hope they can work it out. So far I like using this app.
  12. My first comment about my weight was at 7yrs old. A elderly man told me that I better stop drinking milk if i wanted to be as slim as my sister. My weight has fluctuated most of my life. The message that high weight is not acceptable is constant. We live in a judgmental world. Now that I'm at a healthy weight, I find that some people will still find derogatory things to say..... It speaks volume's about them and nothing about you.

    Total weight loss confusion...

@@haleymarie 50-60% average percentage weight loss. This is the cookie cutter answer given to most patients. Seems like she was uncomfortable to state anything out of that cookie cutter answer. (Kind of made an ass out of herself) Look around at the stats of patients on Bariatricpal. ( I'm down exactly 124..lol ) I know this process of insurance, choosing type of surgery and working with a medical team can be frustrating. You will get conflicting information at times...Do your research. Find whats best for you. Jenn

    Lunchables?

Oscar Meyer make P3 portable Protein packs. I'm not sure what the vets think about them. I use them on the run. I don't eat the dip with the grilled chicken strips. http://www.proteinproteinprotein.com/
  15. I will be two years out in June. My restriction is good. As you get further out you will be able to get more food in. I can eat 5 oz of salmon a few bites of veggies and two bites of potato in a meal. I can have healthy carbohydrates in maintenance mode. I still feel it when I get full. If I'm to the point of burping..I know to stop lol
  16. @@lemonpoppyseed2013 Hey there, I was instructed that Vitamins will be taken for life. Surgery can cause nutrient malabsorption. You can always get back on track. Back to basics. Track food get your Protein and Water requirements in. Find what works to make you feel full. I eat my protein and 1 1/2 to 2 cups of vegetables with my meal. The Fiber keeps me full. I'm eating 6 to 8 small meals a day. 2000 to 2200 calories. I know many have gone without exercise and lost weight. I'm not so lucky. I have to exercise to loose weight and maintain. Book an appointment in April. Might be a good Idea to check with your team. Some of the vets have mentioned the pouch reset. http://www.obesitycoverage.com/the-pouch-reset-losing-weight-after-weight-regain/ I know vets will post more information than what I have off the top of my head tonight.

    Wishing others would "lounge"

@@Julie norton Finding what your tummy can tolerate is trial and error.lol Life is short. Get out and enjoy a meal and a cocktail if you choose. Its nice to relax and not have food be the main focus of the night. I check the restaurants menu online ahead of time. I can plan what I want. People don't judge my food choices. I still have to laugh at the waitresses that ask if my food is ok. They think if I'm not eating quickly, the food must be bad or something. When I meet up with my friends. I order an appetizer and a one drink. I'm a cheap date. Other times I end up being the designated driver.

    What was your 'a-ha' moment?

big wake up call for me to get control of my health and my life 2013 was a depressing year. After yo yo dieting for years, I simply gave up on myself. I'm a type one diabetic. I was admitted to the hospitals ICU (Diabetic ketoacidosis) My internal organs systematically shut down. I flat lined. My mother and father-in law were diagnosed with stage four cancer at the same time. They passed in the same month June 2014 I had my surgery. The least I could do is to get control of my health and life. I have been given this gift of a second chance. I want to live a life my mom was not able to live.
