i am in the bariatric program in rochester, ny. my surgery will probably be somewhere in august or september. right now, i need 2 more nutrition consults before i meet the surgeon and schedule the date. having a hard time understanding their philosophy on the diet journal...especially when you won't be eating that way after surgery. anyway...just trying NOT gain and stay focused for the next 2 visits. i've been looking for success stories for the VSG surgery. i am worried that it will not be strict enough, but as a medical editor...i see alot of complications with the bypass, so i am ruling that out. does anyone have advice or experience to confirm that VSG works just as well? thanks for the info.
