Anyone compete in bikini after weight loss surgery?
Breaking Red replied to yogachick's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Here is a pic pretty much explaining the difference between the different classes So you can see the bikini class has a much more feminine look, less muscle definition than the other ones -

Anyone compete in bikini after weight loss surgery?
Breaking Red replied to yogachick's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I want to do one of those as well! I've been doing a lot of research on it. Follow a diet plan? IIFYM? The skin issue.... It's not that bad but it's there. And at 45 years old it would be so f&@$ing awesome to get that fit and smoking in a bikini! -

I think most vitamins/minerals/supplements have that statement. None of them are regulated by the FDA. What I'm leery of- idk if Vitamins are absorbed thru the skin. Outside of magnesium I don't know if any other ones are

Will I Ever be able to drink wine again?
Breaking Red replied to icandoit!'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I use to drink A LOT of red wine! The drier the better! Now it's white wine. Sometimes it is easy to drink, sometimes I can't finish half a glass. Unfortunately I have no issues with vodka..... -

Family is unsupportive :/

Another POV is that maybe her fear came out at that point. Maybe it was the breaking point for her and came out wrong..... Just something think about. I'm lucky in that the BF and I ate out a lot at the restaurant down the road. In fact were personal friends with the owner. And the BF has his own button on the screen at the bar! He actually gets a discount on his drinks.... He has been eating out mostly per usual and when he gets something to bring home he eats in another room. Last night my daughter ate Chinese leftovers in front of me. I was fine. After surgery you won't want to eat physically. Not going to lie, the hardest is the head hunger! The other day I would have killed someone for a tuna melt with onions! I pretty much stayed in my room alone. I was angry and upset. I didn't want to lash out at anyone. So an option is to make yourself scarce when they start eating I was watching a marathon of My 600 Pound Life. One episode the husband was a complete d0uche! He didn't wnnt her to have the surgery or lose weight. He literally picked her up after surgery and went Straight to a fast food drive thru!!!! WTF?!?!?! And he was taunting her!!! 'Want some fries? Doesn't this smell go?' Than he had her hold his burger!!! I would have throat punched him -
Itching like crazy!
Breaking Red replied to PrettyGal27's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know painkillers make me itch. I thought I was going crazy but if you google it, it does come up. The lower part of my face and chest will itch like crazy. -
JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP
Breaking Red replied to SMED0308's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
July 9 was my surgery. Feeling much better as the days go on. The day of surgery I was a mess. I did have pain and slept a lot. The walking took a back seat unless you want to count all the times I went to the bathroom! I'm on Clear liquids until my 1st postop on Monday. I wasn't required a pre op diet except the day prior- clear liquids only. So next Monday I move up to Protein shakes for 2 weeks. So far I've lost 10 lbs -
Looking for July Sleevers!
Breaking Red replied to fearnot's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I made it to the sleeved side! My surgery was yesterday. I was in a drugged daze the first part of the day but they like to wean you off and on to intravenous Tylenol. That worked ok. Of course I got home and popped a pill! I'm sore but feel way better today. I just keep thinking I only have to go thru this once! -

Support Groups Before Surgery?
Breaking Red replied to 4me4them's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had to go to two. Thought it would be a waste of my time but it was the complete opposite. There's pre and various levels of post. I learn a lot. It's a safe place to share without judgment. Every thing is shared the good the bad. We discussed how are we going to get thru the holiday weekend. We go around the room and share a goal or Celebrate when a goal is achieved! We watched the video of the two people that lost enough weight to skydive! I have surgery tomorrow and am wondering if I can make it to the meeting Thursday evening! Lol -
Looking for July Sleevers!
Breaking Red replied to fearnot's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kmf- I read the what to bring post and really stripped the list down after going thru it. I have surgery tomorrow and am brining: ipad & phone with chargers, chapstick, earplugs (in case it's noisy) eye mask (help me sleep) I'm wearimg a big comfortable dress in and out, small pillow and a tiny fan (in case it's hot in the room) toothbrush & paste and slip on sandals All this will fit in a backpack. No makeup no extra clothes. I'm there to have surgery, drink water and get the heck out of there. -
July 9th Sleevers!
Breaking Red replied to Breaking Red's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will most likely be asleep before you are in the surgery room. Each time I've had surgery they gave me something to 'relax' me. The next thing I know I'm waking up! I wouldn't worry about it. They see nakkid people day in and day out! Just like a male gyno..... know how many vaginas he's seem?!??!?#? LOL -
July 9th Sleevers!
Breaking Red replied to Breaking Red's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well time is passing and we're almost there. To be honest I'm getting nervous but that wont stop me from accomplishing my goal! I'm already planning the breast lift I will most likely need. I already found the boobs I want! Now I just have to get to my goal weight loss and see where I'm at!
